I don't think Kristen is a mystery, she just seems like the person in the room that listens more than talks about herself and she's very refreshing about her views on marriage, etc. I think I like her a whole lot more now that I've been inside her on your show. I think Kristen just doesn't think alot of people are interested in her also cause she goes against the norm and thinks she'll get crap for it and it's what I admire the most about her. Plus her search for knowledge and books, working out, which I agree is like so essential for your well being, not just strength wise. She just seems very in tune with herself, loved the interview and her thoughts on you as well, I'm kinda the same when I'm in a room and I feel like I have to loosen up the atmosphere, nothing wrong with that Michael, keep up the good work, love your podcast!

Kristen often presents with a very pensive demeanor. It was really special to glimpse a bit of her goofy side in this conversation. Very much appreciated that she felt comfortable to let that side of her come through. Went back to school as a "mature student" myself, so totally get where she's at with her comments around work and school, and being a person in university with some life experience. Made me smile. Too bad her university is virtual, her 18 - 22 year old university peers would have loved her!

It's great to hear Kristin's thoughts about how she is viewed when being hired for roles from young to now... she acknowledges she was most likely hired because she is pretty... and the acting can be seen as secondary. She has been cast that way for so long, she can be more aware of the passage of time and how you are reminded of how you used to look when you were younger and very desirable... that is a trip. I know she is an Introvert, and shy, like myself and I related to her for that, as much as I crushed on her during Smallville.

I got to admit this was another great, great interview, Kristin really opened up talking about her life, views on marriages and kids, school, work ethics, remembering her lines, workouts, views on the MCU even her fears off aging and not liking to be in front of the camera as much. She even mentioned as an actor she has gotten better over the years but but was under no illusion when she first started that she only got the part not because she was a great actor but due to her beauty, and what aging on camera means for her now even though she is still beautiful. Wow, that is deep stuff. I think Kristin Kreuk is a good actor and I do look forward in seeing her in more roles whether that is on the big screen or on the small screen. Michael you really do know how to get people to open as well as having the best guests.

Thank you for chatting with Kristin, Michael. I'm one of those people who grew up watching Smallville, and the show's stories helped comfort me in my own life growing up, so your characters are like friends and family to me. Whenever I get to see you guys again, it feels like reconnecting, and checking in with family again. And it's so great to see you on a platform where you can just talk like regular people. It's wonderful that you guys are friends, so Kristin feels comfortable enough speaking honestly about everyday things in her life. I know you guys get self conscious like everyone else, and sometimes you wonder if what you say is too trivial, but I'm interested in hearing it, because it's comforting to hear you're going through life's questions and struggles like the rest of us, and it just shows that you're real, honest, genuine and relatable. We all age, it's just the reality of life. But Kristin is still beautiful after all these years, so I hope she doesn't worry about that. The fact that she's so thoughtful, and caring... trying to finish school while busy working all this time, trying to find a way contribute to her community, be purposeful and help women's shelters, cares about the environment, her life concerns and outlook, and the other things you guys talk about, just shows how beautiful she is as a person. How you are as real people are not things we usually get to see on shows, so thanks for sharing your platform and insights, and allowing us to still have you guys in our lives.

I hope you find solace in knowing that you're doing important work, at the end of the day. I have a lot of insecurity and anxiety myself, but try to push myself into uncomfortable situations to show that I can overcome them. It then gives those situations or circumstances less power over me, as hard as it can be to jump into them like that. It sucks that we have to do so much extra work just to have a "normal" conversation other people do so naturally, but the more we work at it the better we can get, and some level of comfort or familiarity will form. I call it "being comfortable being uncomfortable." And because we know how hard communicating can be, because it doesn't come easy to us, I think we're ultimately far wiser once we get to a more developed state because we understand the power of speaking to someone and the impact those interactions have.

Love the show Michael, and I adore you and Kristin and Tom in all of your work - y’all are such a talented group and I’m always entertained when I see yall in various projects. That said, as a Christian, I feel a conviction in my heart to say one little thing (and I’m not trying to be preachy) when I hear people say that marriage is a construct of society it kind of bothers me. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a Man and Woman created by God, not society. I myself am a single man and that is a life choice I made a long time ago so I’m not saying that everyone should go and get married as a requirement to life. To each his/her own. However, marriage is not something to be entered into lightly, it asks for a commitment to your spouse and to your family that takes a certain amount of effort at times to cultivate and maintain. So if it’s not for you, then it’s not for you. Society’s opinion should not ever be a guide to what (your) life should look like, God should be who you look to for that🙏❤️😊 Anyway, that’s my piece - Thanks, Much Love and Y’all are Always in my prayers

As a massive fan of smallville, I've really enjoyed listening to these podcasts. Also think Michael Rosenbaum will be one of the funniest people to have a drink with. I totally agree with Kristin Kreuk about the expectations people generally have on life and that we should do what we think rather than what society expects. I personally don't want to get married or kids but would enjoy a relationship. I've just graduated a Masters degree after a Bachelors degree and my family keep telling me to find work, which I am trying to get a role in exploration geology but very few roles in the UK and trying to find a job in the USA, Canada or Australia for a Visa sponsorship hasn't been going well at the minute. I feel my family don't appreciate the need to keep learning like myself. Keep Up these podcasts, it's really interesting to hear about the cast and their thoughts on the show, and aspirations. Good luck Kristin Kreuk with your degree! I understand being an older student however I think my late 20's meant I could blend in with the younger students. I had sciatica, so I know how that can impact you, I had an operation but now doing well

I am turning 50 this year as well, and it means a lot that people even at our age and even with such professional careers go through stuff too and are willing to share with us what they go through. We are not alone in this thing we call life. I've been a fan of yours for quite a long time now. Your role as Lex Luthor was stellar. I find that any actor that can portray a character so far removed from their own personality and nail it every time. You have skills my friend. I am a big fan of Smallville, and its nice to see you getting along with your cast mates. A bit of Nostalgia for sure, but seeing you interact in real life and about real life things and still learning about one another after the show has been completed is just awesome. Cheers!

Re: Aging as an actor - Put a positive spin on it when people are surprised you aged, it means the work you did is so great it's timeless! You both look great anyway. Also, I love the podcast, it's basically the only one I listen to.

What a great show. I’m from London UK. Loved Smallville back in the day. I remember Monday evenings rushing back from work to cook my food 🥘 and get everything ready before Smallville aired. I love reading 📖 too

Thank you Michael for continuing to bring on great guests. I enjoy seeing guests on your podcast that I don't particularly know as well as well known actors and they all have such a great outlook on life or very interesting perspectives. And thank you for your Cameo. I really enjoyed it and I was truly surprised by my roomates that a Cameo from you was my gift! It was amazing! Others here will agree, you are the best Lex Luthor! Plus having played him for 7 years, you have played that character longer than any movie Lex out there! I'm a huge Superman fan and you truly elevated Lex to the next level. I've been watching this podcast since the pandemic began and rewatching Smallville. It helped to have a a familiar face to follow along with your guests outlooks during that time. Smallville came out shortly after 9/11 and it also became a ray of hope. You did the same during the pandemic. What you do is pretty amazing! Thank you again!

I’ve only seen a couple of your episodes, but I’ve followed you on social media for a while and been a fan since your Smallville days. I must say, I think you’re a good podcast host and have a very soothing voice. I love seeing how supportive you are of your friends and how supportive they are of you. Keep it up, Rosie! 💙

I thoroughly and really love your interviews, you ask the questions that I would have asked, I am not sitting here asking "Why didn't he ask so and so on" Really enjoyed watching your interview with Kristin, she is so down to earth and very honest. She is so very nice and lively. I am so glad to hear that she is attending school, I feel that she is so accomplished and so talented and has such a kind heart. Thank you both for the honesty and for opening up and revealing your insecurities that we all experience, because we are all humans.

Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk you to are awesome. as for Kristin Kreuk I don't think of her just as Lana. Smallville is where i discover her as an actress. I followed her career for a lot time. I enjoyed her in Earthsea.

Love your podcasts and seeing the positive comments from ppl and not the unwarranted and unnecessary mean-spirited comments. If you don't like it, then don't watch it and just keep it moving. We're all here to have a good time listening to your talks.

Thanks Michael. This interview had a very deep and meaningful part in it for me - about relationships. I'm a writer, and a huge part of what I put my characters through, is to mirror what I see in society. People use each other and then move to marriages to defend against their insecurities - either financially, or to show off to others, "Look: I matter to someone. I am their whole life, or they have dedicated theirs to me. At least the 2nd is outward validation - to receive it from 3rd parties, not even in the relationship. The financial reason is self-explanatory. But both are recipes for failure, and why divorce and the insecurities that follow are such a large part of our society. These relationships are not based on really knowing and caring going on between the two people who are the primary actors involved in them. I am between your age and Kristin's, haven't had children, and am not married either. I don't think there's anything wrong with either of you. I found it very cathartic to tune into this episode of your show and I subscribed to your channel. Nice job. Very nice job.

She's so beautiful (and talented, and mature) and still feel "insecure" in front of the camera. It's always so hard to be women. I love all the conversation about marriage and kids, her parents raised her well and you can tell how much her family is open minded. I can totally see her in a Marvel movie/series but I'm happy with whatever she decides to do. She's so inspiring: she's graduating, helping the community and doing charity work? That's amazing. Life has so many paths, we're not forced to stay in the same direction that we chose when we were young. Growing older, you understand more and more that is not worth spending time in things you don't really enjoy.

I've always loved you, Tom and Kristin ever since my dad showed me Smallville when i was younger and I've rewatched over the years and most recently with my Fiancé and he fell in love with the show as well ♡ I don't usually watch/listen to podcasts, but post covid when I'm dashing I do listen in my car while working. Love this podcast subscription Michael. Thank you for being you. It's such a calm presence here 😌 I love it. Thank you ♡ I feel you light up with Tom over all other guests. I love that you two are so close, even in real life♡ Kristin too! ♡

I never got to watch the interview the first time around because I was on holiday but I saved it on my watch list so now I am catching up. Most actors or actress do gain or lose weight for a role but as they get older some might opt not to do it as much because like Kristin said it is not good on their bodies to yo-yo between weight. Christan Bale did it for Batman he put on so much weight that people on set were calling him fatman instead of Batman then he lost some weight to gain the right size. Later he lost a lot of weight to play a really skinny guy, rumor was that he was so thin he could barely move on set because he lacked the energy necessary and the vital nutrients and had to be monitored round the clock by doctors. Wow, that is dedication. Jake Gyllenhaal has also done a lot of putting on weight and then losing it to play a variety of roles Rene zellweger also put on a 30 pounds to play Bridget Jones then lost the weight again. The movie did so well it got a sequel and she had to put on the weight again. For the third movie she said that although she wanted to put on weight the directors did not want her to. What interesting is she opted to wear a fat suit to play the role of real life killer Pam Hubb saying that putting on weight and then losing it again led to panic attacks so I am guessing that she was only too happy not to put on weight for the third role. Chris Helmworth opted to use a fat suit instead to play Fat Thor. I guess he did not want to lose his abs, do not really blame him. I have heard some actors who have done interviews say that they would take on any role where they have to bulk up but never one that requires them to put on weight in the sense that they become fat or lose so much weight that are sickly thin.

I love how Kristin looks at things; society has taught us that admitting we need help is weakness and to not self-love or self-improve.
