Iowa State played for a Big12 title a few years ago. The future is bright with the Cyclones. 61.5k seat stadium great fanbase, and they sell out and travel well. Campbell loves Ames and gets the most out of his players. After the gambling scandal and still making a bowl game last year was a huge deal.

Simply saying "It's just Iowa State" is atrociously short sighted, derogatory and living in the past. It's not 1980 anymore. ISU has improved tremendously in funding, facilities, fanbase and competitive football. They can legitimately play and beat anyone on thier schedule and have multiple top 25 wins under Campbell.

Inferring Ames, Iowa is some backwater part of the Country is just wrong. Ames has a beautiful campus, great athletic facilities and with the completion of Cy Town between Hilton coliseum and Jack Trice Stadium will offer great amenities and a unique entertainment venue. Last time I checked Orlando is not within 40 miles of a beach and while BYU has a view of some mountains, you pretty much have to be a Mormon to fit into the BYU culture....

Ok Drake while you possibly could be right, if I was an Iowa State fan I’d be offended over the comment “they’re NEVER going to win a B12 title.” IMO

Iowa State played OU for the Big12 title a few years ago so he's incredibly wrong by making that comment. Campbell was just a few plays away from a Big12 championship.

@@Ace0000087and I believe the cyclones weren’t out of the big 12 championship game until late November…there was all that tie breaker talk, half the league was in a tie breaker basically.

Saying iowa state will never win the big 12 tourney is bold. Big 12 ain’t the cream of the crop in football and they got a great team this year and the program has only improved under Matt Campbell.

Iowa state has the most conference wins out of any team remaining in the big 12 since 2017 (only trailed OU) and won a NY6 bowl 4 years ago lol acting like this team can’t be a top program in the new big 12 is laughable especially with how young and talented their roster is.

Also.. if you want a real Iowa State insider, go call Jaime Pollard, Chris Williams, Bret Blum, or Randy Peterson. Drake Toll is a Baylor guy.

Drake is smoking something if he likes the way Ia St. matches up against Iowa this year and leans towards a win. Iowa has owned Campbell, the game is in Iowa City and Iowa finally got rid of their atrocious OC. That game is 80% Iowa win.

...I'd rather play the sqwawks in Kinnick (btw, Cylones won there 2 years ago)...aaand it's a blast to be in Kinnick and listen to all the Hawkeye-Chinamen BOOOOO the home tean when they can't convert on 3rd down...which happens about 8-12 time/game...that's a blast!!!
