This was a really useful video with explanations straight from the government agencies. It's good to hear the information direct from the authorities in such an open forum. Thank you for putting this together and for sharing.

In a country whose ruling government couldn't pay an electricity bill of just $1.2million until the electricity was disconnected while having parliamentary section. Shame!!!!! , owes just $3.5billion foreign debt and couldn't settle and had to go borrrowing $1.5billion to reservice it. Shame!!!. As corrupt as it gets.

Knowing where to say what is a great component of wisdom. There’s a time and place for everything.

I enjoyed what i heard from this conference. It is very encouraging, then again, a lot of work is to be done. I felt conflicted by the man from GIPC. He indicated that the president and a lot of those in government were mostly abroad. Yet, i do not see that reflecting in their policies and acts. It seems like we all want to be like abrokyire. We know what and how it feels to be as such, but for the greed and selfisheness, those so-called diasporeans.seem to lose their sense of bearing once they get power. Ghanahas the potential in all aspects and that is where the disappointment lies in for some of us....the people in "power"

Big applause to Ms. Prosper Ivy for hitting the right buttons. Thanks also to the lady who asked the question about the roads in the city. It’s rather unfortunate to see the response she got, and that leads me to think these people in authority are still living with very colonial mentality without an ounce of national development in mind. The colonizers came, robbed us of our natural resources to build their countries. These people in authority who at least have been exposed to the outside world comes back, but this time, enriching themselves and lecturing us of how much resources the country in blessed with, dressed in suits with jewelry to the teeth. Others talking about 5 star hotel ratings without considering the fact that a 5 star rating comes with better roads. Otherwise, it’s still short of a star. To the very well spoken Mrs Dora Badu of the NIA, they need to do a better job keeping the office at the very least, clean and do their best and remove the amount of filth and cobwebs in their offices. It’s unhealthy and a health hazard to the staff and visitors. The dilapidated couches in the main office. My goodness, it is embarrassing to the nation. Personally, l have volunteered to at least donate measuring height tapes to the office. Come on people! One goes closer to the jubilee center and next to the right is the military residence or flats that has not seen a coat of paint in 50 years. The very grounds has zero ashpalt. At the very least, bricks could be an alternative yet states men and women are on daily basis with foreign dignitaries are visiting. Let’s think about national development people! not just individual pockets please. One arrives at the airport and swarmed with desperate Ghanaians trying to make ends meet. The very baggage conveys are dirty and filthy, yet all it takes is soap and water to clean, such a simple act of house keeping has been ignored by the very tourism board. What image is Ghana sending to the world. The entire city has no considerable functioning traffic lights not to talk about road signs. Pathetic would be an understatement. I Would implore the organizers of this event to raise some of these very basic necessities to be addressed as a matter of urgency to save the image of the country if they want to attract more diasporas and investors otherwise most people will come, exploit and leave just like the colonizers did. It’s about time we change the way we think and move forward towards national development rather than pocket of buildings without good roads and infrastructure. Thank you very much for organizing this event and l hope this critique is taken in good faith. It is only then, we can develop. Otherwise we become a laughing stock when visitors leave and discuss Ghana at the dinner table.

But if the land is for sale, shouldn’t land owner register the land for sale? The process he describes sounds exhausting and dated. It’s time to update the system and processes.
@thedoingwell9 ай бұрын
Good question, sometimes the landlords or owners don’t have the resources to register the land. That’s the problem
@ODANANETWORK9 ай бұрын
You are right. However, the land system down here is a bit different to deal with as most of the lands are owned by families, not Government..

We shouldn’t think of real estate only. We should build factories, factories, factories. If you build expensive homes and the average Pearson cannot afford it, then it’s not soo prudent.
