Amazing guys! Epic fish... hard watching to fully appreciate the difficulty, skill and perservence required to get a brown of that size, in that way. My best fly rod brown is 7lbs, spin gear is 10lbs... but man do I wish I had caught the 10lb fish on fly (but it was a amazing dream fish regardless)!

It's good to see a video with some frustration and the reality of fishing here. so many highlight reels give a false representation of what it really takes to be sucsesful in targeting large fish on the south island. another great video Cheers.

Hi Mike, a really great video. The anticipation for our trip to New Zealand in January is rising day by day. In particular, of course, the 3-day trip with Hans Kreuer. Those are some absolute pigs at the start. Just out of curiousity, how much did your largest Trout weigh?

Yep they sure are. Biggest was a guess as my digital scales stopped working but around 18lb

This guy should be banned from uploading vids on YT. His vids are bad for the health. They increase envy, jealousy and blood pressure in flyfishermen around the world. Also lead to convulsive twitching in the muscles responsible for setting the hook and fighting fish.😂😂😂
