If you like Insomnium please try Sentenced, it's a Finnish band that influenced Insomnium and a paragon in Melodic death metal, be prepared that band it's an after-before, I recommend to listen to "Broken" from the album Crimson and start from there you won't be disappointed my friend 🤘🍻

Some of the finest melodic death metal out there. I love this band, and they currently rank as a co-equal favorite band of mine along with U2 and Metallica. And getting hooked is an apt description. I got hooked on them with their Shadows of the Dying Sun release. All it took was hearing the very first track off that album and I became a fan.

It definetly is and im very glad that people are actually willing to teach their kids what real music is. Sure enough it may take a while and is something that sounds very far ahead but the truly passionate melodic-death metal people will do that. There's an old but true saying that may ring everyone's ears when i say this: "Real music will never die." No, not at all. While I am here because of Insomnium and I prefer music of Insomnium lately above music of Napalm Death, I don't agree with that. Who put better show and who didn't is there mainly just matter of taste and perception, while Napalm Death are "institution" which earned our respect decades before Insomium even existed. They may not sound all that modern and trendy, etc ... but they were pioneers in something we call today extreme metal and that matters.

This band is insanely good! I really wished they would see more success because they deserve it. I have seen them live, and ran into them outside the venue and they were some of the nicest people and let me take pictures with all of them! Ville Friman wasn't on tour because he was finishing his PhD! Amazing!
