Nothing was said about the 2nd level down spouts exiting straight on to the shingles causing pre mature wear. But he said nothing is wrong with this roof. Or am I crazy ?

Good recommendation. We didn't see any premature wear during the inspection. It's a new house. Not sure if that practical and good recommendation appears in the IRC or a manufacturer's installation manual.
