THIS is one of the most informative video about R35 transmission I've seen. I can not thank you enough for you to make this video. The interview with Jack was awesome!! Learned so much. This is the type of KZbin I love. Not some idiots making lifestyle videos. Thank you again!

Wow, thanks Philip. I have at least 3 to 4 more videos to come with Jack. He provided me so much content. He talked about the differneces between CBA and DBA transmissions. The discussion on this topic in forums and elsewhere is all over the map. Some say there are no differences, others say you should not purchase a CBA becasue of transmission issues. Jack provides exactly what the differences are. So awesome !!

I was so fortunate that Jack agreed to do this interview and share his knowledge with us. I've got so much more content coming from the intervew. He talked about the differences between CBA and DBA transmissions. He also gave some solid advice in regards to modifying a gt-r's and some really interesting advice to tuners. Great stuff!!

Thanks for viewing and commenting. I've got at least 3-4 more videos to create out of the initial interview. But it does seems the community is hungry for more information. So i'll likely be doing another interview with Jack. I do also want to dive deeper into the Bell Housing issue, and i've got another interview lined up for that. I'd also really like to do another interview with Tuner Sam Barros to discuss how he tune's GTR's. I think some of the intricacies of the tuning process might be very interesting.

The more I research about the vehicle, the more scared I am to buy one. The GTR is obviously very finicky, unrefined and waiting for problems - trans, clutches, bell housing, limp-mode, etc. Seems lots can go wrong.

I am Japanese and I drive a MY13 GTR. My transmission is also broken. If the clutch is slipping, it should be changed to a new part, and at that time, three oil pressure sensors should be replaced with new ones. Flywheel housing is also a wear item. I know a mechanic who specializes in GTRs, but honestly, is he familiar with maintenance know-how outside Japan?

For the 1st issue , the transmission oil temperature should be around 180-200 degrees , is it correct ?

Maybe eventually, but i'm focusing on the mechanical side of things, and there really isn't that much difference mechanically between DBA cars. The 2017's (some call them EBA's), are quieter, the suspension is much softer, and it's more refined. The best video i've seen discussing the differneces are from the JD Archer Channel - kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5jYiGmHrMh_d9E
