Former Walmart produce girl here, All of the stuff from the bakery comes in frozen/refrigerated. Cakes, muffins, all of it. Some stores decorate the cakes for birthdays, but that’s about it. My store was small af so I doubled as a bakery person…and they only provided me with sprinkles for cakes. I couldn’t even write “Happy Birthday, _____!” on them whenever someone would ask me to. Hope this helps! :)

Hey jacob I asked a friend for you and he said that some supertargets have an actual bakery like a grocery store, most targets do not and get the favorite day bakery items shipped from a factory. Anything made in store will have "made in store" or "hand decorated" on the label

I worked at a kroger bakery/deli and I can say MOST of the cakes come in frozen and they thaw it and decorate it, and the cookies were just frozen cookie dough they baked and put into containers. Same with the breads, FROZEN, thawed, then baked.

when me and my sister were young we were in a walmart bakery and there was a fly trapped in one of the cake containers. so we told the workers thinking they would pull it off the shelf, but they didn't care and seemed annoyed and confused as to why we would even tell them

I work at Walmart and almost everything comes in already made and is unpacked from boxes. They put stuff out as needed and store the rest in a cooler. Some things they make in store but the majority are made somewhere else.
