It is a Rouleaux triangle, an equilateral triangle where the edges are 60˚ arcs of circles. A drill with a Rouleaux triangle bit will drill a square hole, which is what is being shown here.

It is a old problem of mathematics: "Seven Bridges of Königsberg" Short version: The problem was to cross each bridge once and only once! At 2:20 you see part of the old map of Köenigsberg, with the seven bridges.
