What I love here in Lapland, is that the nature is so clean and pure. You can drink water everywhere, eat berries etc. Thats why the only thing I expect from tourists, is that PLEASE dont litter. Respect the nature, and everyone wins. :) And I feel that most of ppl do respect. You rarely see trash on the side of the roads. More south you go, the more trash there is. :P
@yourtub87059 жыл бұрын
+Narza85 probably because there are more people south, or maybe its because only people who like nature go to lapland. Seeing littering fustrates me.

Thanks for your videos! It's midnight and I just had to watch all of them even though I should get some sleep. I really recommend visiting Finland at winter, it is even more special that time of the year. As you can see from the number of the views you've got, the people in Finland go crazy when someone is interested in this country. Thanks again for the great videos, keep up the good work!

I love your Finland travel videos! I've been to Finland many times and visited Lapland in the winter. It was amazing, but I really enjoyed watching your adventures during the warmer months. I guess I'll have to go back soon.

You're wrong, SpadeDiamond. Here in Finland, everyone _does_ have a personal knife, or as it's called in Finnish, a puukko. I suppose you have to do a bit more reading.

I'm just watching all the videos you made of your trip in Finland. Not too many comments in this video so I'm doing one. That pond and the waterfall in Pyha national Park is a very special place for me! (Even I live in southern Finland near Helsinki) -Last time I was there was last week with my crosscountry skiis... And I think it's very cool how you can actually capture almost everything (the smells, the taste, the view, all the feelings and so on...) in your dialogue and shooting a video. Amazing!! I must see the rest of the videos you made all over the world. Thank you for your great work!

Oh..I just love your videos! These videos tell the reason what made me return back to my home country. I just love the fact, that it´s a big(-ish) country with a small population…and then there is the wonderful nature. One question: What were the reasons that you decided to come to Finland? Keep up the great work. Wish i had a work like that. To be way too exhausted and sleep less then 8h a night. Wait…no! :D All the respect guys!

You are allowed to pick berries. Everywhere in Finland. You are allowed to walk. Everywhere. But You are not allowed to cut wood, or make fire without the permit from land owner. And you can get it. British people can not understand.

The fact that are is bigger than Holland but having in largely just about 30 000 people living (excluding Rovaniemi, Tornio, Kemi and some other small places) gives some perspective. Going far distance gives you idea what would be living in the world with no other people.

I hate to be that guy, but the Sami are not THE aboriginal people of Finland, merely one of them. They could be seen as being the aboriginal people of Lapland, but there is of course a lot of Finland that is not Lapland. This is a great series though, good work you two!
@Jop3lius10 жыл бұрын
Actually they have been living in Finland longer than the people that moved to Finland from mid europe, Samis have been there in lapland even before Hämäläiset that have roots from all the way to Spain. The "traditional" Finnish look, high cheeks and small eyes come from Samis, as they are partly eskimos.

***** This is odd though, I can't find any mention of the Sami being the original inhabitants of any other place than Lapland. Regardless of whether or not they were the originals south of Lapland, the current crop of people who live there have been there since prehistoric times.
