Mohd Rafi saab & Yeshudas ji were true legends in their own way....they both had the divine blessings of Maa Saraswati. Vo kehte hai na ki _chehra dil ka aaina_ hota hai....I clearly remember Rafi saab when he was on his way to the heavenly abode, he had a divine smile on his gentle face. Very rare 🙏🙏

Certainly, one needs to be blessed to be a Rafi Saab or a Das Ettan to have such pure devotion and to express it through music for us to get bhakti- one path & the easiest path to Krishna in comparison to karm yoga or jnana yoga as the Lord explains in his divine song The Bhagwad Gita.

Melodious, soothing, spiritually elevating music transcends all narrow borders, and when created and sung by masters it stimulates enchantment, enraptures the mind and evokes a bliss beyond words. Mohamed Rafi Sahab and Shri Yesudasji are the best in their craft. Both quite versatile, rendered songs to suit different genres of music with aplomb and finesse. It is not too late for the Indian Government to confer posthumously the Bharat Ratna on Mohamed Rafi. His contribution to Indian music is immeasurable and his patriotism to the country is beyond question. This legendary singer is revered by tens of millions even 43 years after his passing. As Bappi Lahiri, the late music composer once said, every other singer is 5000 yards outside the center of the circle where Mohamed Rafi sits. The legendary singer, Manna Dey, once said that he never felt slighted when Rafi Sahab was chosen over him as the playback singer for any song, Rafi was a superior singer. These are magnanimous words from a great singer, speaking of his contemporary the respect.

Rafi Sahab has sung 326 film and non film bhajans and all with absolute devotion. I request all music lovers to find these bhajans or devotional songs on Utube and listen to them and get blessed with heavenly bliss .

Unfortunately all the previous administrations have equally ignored or under appreciated Rafi Sahb, the greatest singer our country has seen ! He was passed over for 10 years of congress rule for the National award and was finally awarded one only when the Janata Party came in to power. On merit he should have won it at least 3 times if not more in those 10 years ! Even with the Padma awards a mere Padmashri is a total injustice to the legend !

There was so much of unwanted politics against against the great singer Rafi Saab. In the last 10 years of his career, many of his great songs were not even given awards and many of the songs of other singers, which received awards were of just mediocre level. This was totally unfair. Even Yesudas too respected Rafi Saab and considered him as his Manasa Guru. Other than Yesudas, Mannadey, SP Balasubramaniam, Jayachandran, music director Naushad, Madan Mohan, OP Nayyar, Ravi, Usha Khanna, LP, SJ and even young singers like Sonu Nigam, Kavitha Krishnamurthy all considered Rafi Saab as the best male playback singer of Hindi films. Lataji herself has said about Rafi Saab as " aise gayak bar bar janam nahi lete" and she has also written in Rafi Saab's Wikipedia that " Neither me nor Asha nor Mannadey nor Kishoreda can sing in the scale range of Rafi Saab". The discrimination showed against Rafi Saab during last 10 years of his career was unfair and unjustifiable.
