Insta360 Go3S: Why I Feel Ripped Off

I understand the disappointment you felt but thats how this tech industry is doing it. Just sell it as preowned and buy the latest version, that way you’ll enjoy the go3s. I dont own any of these but have been contemplating to own the go3 as its cheaper but your realization helps me stick to the go3s.

I have no doubt the Go3S is a great camera. The Go3 is great, unless you need the higher resolution to crop. My philosophy is IF it’s financially affordable, go with the higher spec because it will last longer and make you happy for longer. I’ve had a lot of regrets when it comes to settling for lower spec tech- I usually hate it and end up buying the one I actually want anyway. My advice to everyone who is in this position is if you can’t afford the tech you actually want, save up until you can rather than settle. Have a great day

It is so annoying! When they should have put 4K in the Go 3 to begin with. Are u happy with the video quality of your camera?

Dji osmo action 2 vs insta360 go 3s? Which has better details in 4k? Which is better for pov?

Hi. I don't own the Action 2.Having owned the Go3 (not S at this stage), the image quality is decent but it's only 2.7K. The Go3S at 4K I would say would be loads better, and it would make a great POV camera. It's small, but feels super-rugged for what it is (not as much as say Osmo Action 4 or a GoPro). I think it would be a great camera. If you're referring to the Action 2 with all the magnetic attachments etc, I would want to check out the build quality and how everything physically attaches. I've read there are issues with overheating. In terms of 4K, most people probably wouldn't see a significant different. Bear in mind that both cameras are likely to struggle in low light due to small sensor size.

Wait! The lens on GO3 S is 16mm, f2.8mm. GO3 has 11mm, f2.2mm. Don’t buy GO3 S. It is a ripped off to pay more but narrower lens. They should make GO3 S a 4k camera with 11mm, f2,2mm lens.

The Go3S is otherwise a better spec'd camera in terms of 4K resolution. The battery life is less, and yes, the lens is narrower and not as good with a less wide aperture, but there are compromises. Overall, I feel it is a better camera than the original Go3.

Did you not know the specs when you bought it? I’m assuming you did, yet you are complaining that it does not have 4K. Most all products are on a yearly roll out with an improved version coming out the following year. You act like this is a big surprise to you. And by your rational…..if we know we will be flying to Mars in the future….why don’t we just go ahead and do it today?

Thank you for your comment. My point in this video is that 4K should be the standard for cameras in 2023. It is definitely a logical step that with each new release the specs get better. It’s not like there are very few 4K cameras. Even front facing cameras on phones can shoot 4K now. Every other Insta360 camera is capable of shooting in 4K. That’s just my 0.02c. Have a great day
