Hi all,
Since Insta360 had released their new camera I have seen so many questions from people as to whether the new camera is worth the upgrade and simply put, with the price tag is has, I'd say NO!
In low light it's a great camera, but is it worth the price? Depends how much money you have to burn.
Hope this comparative video helps you all out in making your decision.

More sharpness and better resolution also means that you can zoom in a lot more into the 1 RS 360 for better footage. Having said all of that, for your purpose, X2 is much better as you wont be reframing too much and the extra 90g lighter model will probably work better for you.

Hello thanks for the test. I also share my experience, I need panoramic photos for my work, the purpose is to let customers choose outdoor environment (mainly static photos), just like some hotel websites. When I first started to use ONE X2, the picture quality is very poor, on the phone may not feel, but on the PC, ONE X2 obviously no details, such as lush plants, or some mesh objects, the details of the photo is always blurred, the low light environment is worse, the left and right two lenses are always bright and dark color difference, This defect also appears after your running video "5:40", the X2 I am very unhappy. I tried various settings but there was no solution. It wasn't until I upgraded to the ONE RS 1Inch Leica that it got very, very noticeably better, especially when it came to the strong contrast between light and dark, I was amazed at the improvement, my clients could no longer see the blurred leaves and could finally see the details on the grass, I truly think the 1Inch Leica is great for business use, but it's not a sports camera for life. Thank you for reading this far

Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s great to have such feedback to help others who may be watching this video. I have made a few other running videos with the OneRS 1inch since this review. I have more room to play with the colours and contrast than I did with the OneX2, but it’s still not so clear cut as to if it’s worth the extra money. Hopefully with the way tech is moving there is more focus on 360 cameras and the quality vastly improves

i own both of these cameras and will say the 1 inch is notably better than the X2 IMO. across the whole frame the 1 inch is clearer than the X2. i feel like the 1 inch will mix more smoothly with my Sony and Canon cameras vs the X2. it is almost twice as expensive so for a lot of people they might not want to spend that much and i understand. i will still use the X2 at times but it will collect a lot more dust going forward.

In regards to video quality it is better indeed, it's a shame that at that price you're not getting much more in apart from that though. Shame it's not waterproof like the OneX2

I have been closely looking at this camera. I currently have a gopro MAX. The GoPro MAX has a excellent mic and is a fun camera, but as soon as it gets overcast, picture is mashy. In your comparison the new 1 inch is heaps better. It looks more like a proper camera and not like a action camera. Thanks for the review. Think i am sold on the 1 inch. 👍

I think you are looking at the wrong things here. It is not about sharpness. The new 1 inch gives a more natural look, like a proper pro-sumer camera, and hasn't got that action camera look. For me it is worth it as i hate how the 360 cameras look mushy on a overcast day. It is clear when you review the image in the video it is much better quality. It all depends on your use case. I shoot with pro cameras so want something better to mix in the footage.

As someone who also makes no $$$ off KZbin, I am especially glad I found your channel…although you’ll never catch me running. :-) With the darker footage, which one had more accurate color? To me, the X2 seemed to have more definition in things like the clouds.

@itsfortheloveofrunning
@itsfortheloveofrunning 2 жыл бұрын
But what I can tell. The X3, in terms of video qualities the same as the OneX2. The photo sensor is better so you’ll get some nice Timelapse’s and photos but for video the OneX2 and X3 are the same. So the RS 1inch captures more detail than both the OneX2 and X3. I personally would pick the OneRS 1 inch over the X3 unless you need something waterproof and if you have the $$$$ to spend

Its not the lenses which are 1 inch, it is the sensors. And the .3k of difference then means a whole other thing. Because the sensor is almost 4 times bigger than the sensor on X2, the pixel size is that much bigger too - which is why the better performance in low light. Larger pixels means they capture more light. And the sharpness is also much better.

@@itsfortheloveofrunning But clearly they're different times as the footage doesn't match. I'm sure you did it within the same hour, but it's difficult to compare if the actual lighting is slightly different. Not saying you're wrong, but it does change the outcome slightly. How the Insta manages the stich lines is just as important as colour grading, and you could see the One X 2 struggling with the stitch lining in a couple of scenes where the 1inch 360 did not. It's clear from these shots the 1inch is actually a lot better in the detail areas, and is no question an upgrade. But as usual it comes down to money, and if it's worth £500+ or not.. and the answer is clearly no way in hell!

@@falconvelocity you're right, BUT this is a 1k loop, so it took me about 5 minutes to run with one, then I was swapping straight over to the other. So they were within minutes of each other.
