Insta360 X3 for Vlogging - Review & Sample Footage

a Lot of Pro Vloggers record at 1080p/60 and upscale to 4k in post edit. Saves on battery, saves on space and improves stabilization. i notice that that a lot of the new vlogging generation record straight at 4k or 8k.

I just bought the X4 and when I found out it can film with 1 camera this came to my mind right away to try this for my channels vlogging. It works great and with a DJI wireless mic the sound is awesome.

I have this camera and im happy i bought this instead of normal action cam. Very flexible shoot first and reframe later. And ai shot labs. I used it for family travel adventure. It save me time for making simple edit like hyperlapse rotAtion and reframe woth different perspective

Love my x3 cracking 360 video just shoot and edit and select your shots later as you don’t miss a thing, great quality turn the sharpening down to medium one low I prefer low for a very natural image, hdr is superb and the single lens mode better than go pro, it’s water proof, reliable with excellent build quality what’s not to love. I have go pro 10, Osmo action 2 i hardly ever use them now with the x3 you just get on with what your doing and enjoying yourself the camera catches everything then sort footage out when get home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍❤️

I like how the dji Osmo pocket 3 has built in support for a wireless mic with nothing sticking out of the camera. Wish my insta360 x3 had a similar feature.

It could have also been 4K 60fps! Can't figure out which.

hi. aside from shooting in 4k and 60fps, was everything else like the white balance and iso in auto mode? did you use the standard color profile then color corrected in post? thanks 😊

Yes. I don’t really remember colour correcting this at all. It’s pretty much what comes out using standard colour.

I really enjoyed the vlog part. I still wondering how compares to a sony x3000, gopro or dji action. Lame that hasn't got at least 4k 60p... But great reviiew. Thanks for sharing more camera related stuff.

Thanks. I did film some similar footage on a GoPro the weekend before but not in such a wonderful city. I don't own a DJI Action but I'm also curious to know how good they are as DJI seem to make pretty solid stuff.

Great video well done ! Looking to buy a fast video editing tablet ,i noticed export of a 4K video from 360 camera footage is very slow in the insta360 app. Which of the following would you recommend for very fast exports ? -samsung galaxy tab S9 ultra -Ipad Pro

Looks the single lense mode video is good! The bad thing is I cannot take video quickly like the 360 video, I have to power on then start single lense mode. There is a botton at the front panel that can make 360 video quickly.

Agreed. I would like a ‘quick start’ for Single Lens Mode rather than just a preset 360 mode.

How can you vlog with X3, when the app does not show you a "wave form" to look for voice, to edit the silence,and search for speach?

Maybe you can save the footage to your phone or whatever you are using, and then transfer that footage across to a different editing software

Yes. It's all shot in single lens mode. I enjoy the framing as part of the shoot rather than the editing so it works great for me.

It was just the onboard mic.
