Love love love your videos!! Thank you for being so informative and helpful :) I always learn something I can apply. I do think that allowing free speech on a social media app/ forum is important for creators and consumers of content alike! We can’t silence people we simply because we don’t want to hear from them or don’t agree with their opinions (which is what has been happening). I think it’ll be a positive change! Don’t stress about it too much!

I wish they let us edit the cover photos 😅 the same way they allow us to edit reel covers, I wish we could do this with other post types. My grid looks horrendous because all of my sizing was square lol

No the people did this. There is a large amount of People, like myself who are tired of being bullied. Could you imagine a bunch of mean people coming here just to yell at and bully Jade off youtube, flag every one of her videos because they were triggered by her opinions (which she even said herself, she was scared to voice, cuz it might trigger someone) but in reality... as her loyal followers, we would have a very different opinion.

Yes! We have our voice back (lol 😆...) anyway. Social media should be to have a place to socialise and network through freedom of speech. However, I totally agree that it create a free reign for the bots and the kb warriors to chat nonsense. Don't stress just get on with being the best at your art 😊

so... back in the day i used to post a lot of comedy on my factbook, I came back years later and every one of my posts, except one about depression were deleted by these fact checkers. LOL I'm like.. yuhhh.. f*** Factbook. Now its up to us to do the fact checking and that can be just as bad. I remember back in the day (like 2008) i used to make mesh, and mods for games. And I was flagged as inappropriate by other people who were incredible jealous of my content and were holding me back from blowing up. Nothing I made was inappropriate. I tried to fight my case on the platform but I was too young to do that as I had a weak voice. In the end I was bullied off the platform and ended up quitting art completely for about 15 years Q _Q so the idea of leaving the fact checking to us, worries me just a little, but I believe in people and really hope we got each others backs. people are NOT gonna just flag each other and bully voices they don't like off the platform.

7:30 I think there is a lot of confusion here. The reason they previously said reels over 90 seconds don't get recommended is because technically they aren't reels, they are videos, so they won't be shown in the reels feed. Now, reels have been extended to be 3 minutes. Sure, shorter videos may still perform better, but the reason 91 second videos didn't get pushed isn't because of data but because they technically weren't considered reels. We're actually seeing extremely good reach in the algorithm for videos that are 5+ minutes long, although sadly they can't be shown to non followers but amazing to existing followers, we'll be cutting down some videos to 2:59 for sure to get pushed to new people

A less safe space? I really don't see it. Mainly because I don't experience X as being an unsafe space (have been using it for ... pfff ... well over a decade). Quite the contrary even, especially nowadays: it's possible to debate controversial subjects again without the risk of being censored. That's why I like community notes: instead of outsiders deciding what subjects and/or what way of communicating is allowed, what is and isn't mal-/des- or misinformation, the community can provide context. So all the information is there, (another) context is provided and each and every individual can decide for themselves what they believe or consider to be the truth (or more truthful, making more sense or whatever). I like to think for myself - have been doing that for 58+ years and am pretty good at it. 😊 And that's why I follow you, because I think and believe you provide valuable info on topics I'm interested in, in a great way ❤

changing grid to rectangular makes no sense, square was the most versatile for most creators and videos were in vertical and it worked. now everyone that worked for years to have a nice grid has this work abolished and butchered. why do photographers have to suffer because instagram wants to be a copycat of tiktok? it doesn't make sense. also it's ugly even when you have vertical photos because the proportions are different for thumb and for vertical format. this wasn't designed - it looks like a beginner mistake.
