Any type of ID that's listed here should work, but if you're working for a university, then it wouldn't hurt to include your employee ID, or any other acceptable form of ID that directly shows your connection to the university!

Unfortunately, it's not guaranteed that Facebook or Instagram will approve your application. As long as you are following all the steps and uploading the right documents, all you can do is try again every so often. If you satisfy all of the other requirements, then it's worth a shot! Just keep in mind that Instagram doesn't consider "paid or sponsored media content as sources for review." And so depending on the content of these blogs, you may need to build up your references elsewhere before applying. Aside from that, it doesn't hurt to apply, and if you don't get verified on the first try, you can try it again after 30 days!

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get verified, but that's alright! The biggest thing that keeps people from getting verified is the notability requirement. According to Instagram, this requirement means that "Your account must represent a well-known, highly searched for person, brand or entity. We review accounts that are featured in multiple news sources, and we don't consider paid or sponsored media content as sources for review." Double check that your business meets this requirement, as well as the other requirements, and hopefully Instagram will verify your account next time!
