To find speaker wires shortcut - use battery and put wire on each end. - when you hear static u got it and can put ear to speaker if battery weak but usually you can hear clearlywitch speaker it is.

Is it worth repairing the radio harness if the previous owner wired all the speakers directly to an aftermarket amp or should I just wire everything like you did on the video. Thanks I'm replacing the head unit with another one.

I have a question. I'm actually looking for a car radio harness that has at least 12 wires and has a male and female side with quick disconnect. The radio I will be using is an old Sony EXR-11 and it does not have a plug on the back, just 12 wires coming out of it. I need to be able to put a female plug on the end and then connect that to a male quick disconnect plug. Can you recommend a quick disconnect harness kit? Thanks.

Hey buddy I supported you you sound like you were very intelligent have a lot of good useful information I have a work truck that I am redoing and just about finished with for monkey nut mobile mechanics and customs I was needing to know if it was possible you can shoot me the wiring diagram for a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 HD classic I can figure it out without the wiring harness but like you stated in the video so much easier than having to do all that testing LOL especially when you have a nice Android radio you are ready to hear

My stereo has a built in amp. My Toyota Corolla 2007 (03-07 series) factory was disconnected and replaced with this cool JVC screen stereo double din with all these features. Issue is, no sound😢 stereo turns on and everything works but no sound from speakers. I saw a video that you have to connect an amp line but not all cars come with that and so they have to do another method by connecting one of the cables to the power cable .

I'm pretty sure which one the 12v accessory key on wire is but it's dead with key on or not (all fuses seem good). And a skinny blue white wire is reading 4v when keys turned off and 10v when key on. 🤷 I'm lost

Hey JP I have a 2013 hyundai genesis sedan 3.8 i got one chinese android 2 din radio when i went to install it power color from car harness is not yellow so it's not plug and play as it is advertise so fuse were blown now after finding the wires there is power all the way to the radio harness but not to the radio.What's going on?

Hi Manuel and JP. I have the same car like yours a genesis 3.8 with a basic radio with no GPS but i bought a used OEM touch screen Navi/ radio with a set cd player. I know for sure that the base model Genesis and the tech package Genesis are not compatible with its wiring. Can you actually get the wiring diagram of each model and its wiring harnesses of each model and connect the wires like how you did on this video. I feel theoritically it would work but i need help. Can you help me please?

It comes equipped with every harnace but the harnace that unplug from the oem screen, it has nowhere for it to plug into on the new radio. Screen turns on but no sound, rear camera, nor a.c.. u know anything about these?

Finding switched power behind the radio of any new gm car is hard because it's turned on by data if you look in my how to playlist I have a video showing you how to safely tap into the fuse box which you might have better luck finding ignition there

hi i have a 2005 gt mustang i think it had a shaker unit in it but the cd was coming up rendonly cd errror si took it out and for got to take cds out before i cut the wires as over here in new zealand there where wireing harness for everthing else except my mustang so i have put it in but i have 2 speakers in each door i can only get 1 of them going i have only wired 4 x speakers there are look like speaker wires left in there but it dosnt sound anywgere near as good as it did with out they look like sub spaekers ??i n the bottom of door ones

Okay just subbed and like the video trying to install an aftermarket into a 2010 tundra sr5 I do not see jbl branding anywhere and I'm not sure if the factory radio was amped or not. I'm stuck trying to figure which factory wires are acc, constant, and ground in order to test if the radio will even power on. Factory was the big simple cd player no navigation...
