If you will get a set of actual pex cutters they slice it like butter and won’t mash the pipe to the point you have to get it back round. I love the expansion system. I have been using it since 2006 and never had to go back and repair a leak. Love your channel Tennessee neighbor!

Now that I know about them they are on the list to grab next time I go to town. Should make things a bit easier.

This is amazing can’t wait to see it all done. Your little one is so cute! How much longer are you anticipating before house and garage are complete I’m sure you both are ready to get out of the trailer. What was both your jobs in California.

Most hydronic systems run at less than 20 psi. I don't think you need to test higher than that. Water is denser than air anyway. My installer presurized mine with water because it made the tubes heavier when the conccrete was poured to keep the tubes as low in the concrete as possible. I love seeing the progress..
@TriStarHomestead11 күн бұрын
You don't need to but its a lot easier to see or notice a leak when there is more pressure than low pressure. The tubes are stapled down anyway so not sure how they would rise in the concrete and we poured a 5.5" slab so not too concerned. But yes, the system will run on far less pressure.

@@TriStarHomestead Goof point. I pressure tested a new gas line at 50 psi and could not get it to hold presser. The inspector told me that house pressure for gas lines is less than 1 psi. I think he told me 5 psi was suficiarnt for inspection, Also I see from your later post that you are putting mesh over the tubing wihich will also hold down the tubing.

why you need heated garage, is this place too cold. I think this is waste of energy for the building. but you job for laying pipes, are grate.
@TriStarHomestead13 күн бұрын
We don't need it and might not even hook it up right away. We have about $400 in the tubing for the garage so it is a no brainer to at least install it. You can't go back after and add it in. But we do plan to keep it at at least 50 degrees in the winter.
