Install Cruise Control in Car for Under $9

How to install a manual cruise control in any vehicle or car that has a throttle cable. Auto parts stores carry universal choke cables that can be used. Also you can pick up a lawn mower style throttle control at most hardware stores. This video is on a 2005 Ford Focus. I use a choke cable from auto zone and attach it to the throttle.

I have a very old car and have been searching for a universal kit. Its been more than a year now. But didn't land here unfortunately. Thank you for sharing this. I understand It's not very very safe but It just gave me an idea, and made me think out of the box. After seeing this I feel really good that we can do something creative in such a simple way.

I think it is not save if you do break and the accelerator on same position and car will make noise and take more fuel consumption the mental peace will be gone need to 2 accelerates points

A good quality zip tie will last quite a while in an engine bay. I mounted my radiator fans with zip ties as a temporary solution in 2017 on the car I drive daily, and I haven’t bothered to change them out because they are still holding to this day.

I can see how this is a safty problem when you drive an automatic, But in Europe (where most cars are manual) i cant see how this would be a problem. The thing i learnd from my driving instructor is to always press the clutch while braking, Whit this system the trottle can be stuck or you let the engine rev as much as you want,this isnt going to do anything when you press the clutch.
