In this video I demonstrate how to install a myQ garage door hub with sensors for two garage doors, using just one hub.

Great vid! Two things I woulda done just as a suggestion. First I would have used the drywall anchors, not because the weight of the unit but if I have to take it down for any reason. If it gets stubborn taking it down, you could pull the screws out of the drywall and have to start over. The second thing, Chamberlin install video has a handy little tip about cord managment. They show wrapping the excess cord around the unit to get it out of the way. I thought that was a handy idea.

Thanks! Yes, you can use more than one phone. Just share your garage door by sending am invite via email address. The sensor does have a battery, like a watch battery

Great video, thanks! I'm about to do the same, the only thing I don't understand is why the extra sensor is 10$ more expensive than the hub + sensor :-) I'm wondering if I should just buy 2 kits and use the sensor from another, seems wasteful altough.

I just bought 2 hubs and installed one for each door rather than try to run down an extra (second) sensor for one hub - I did my install yesterday and it works great!

Hi Andy, does the myQ sensor gets rid of the bottom sensors. I think I have faulty bottom sensors. Should I buy this myQ hub and sensor before replacing the bottom sensors.. Plz advice. Thanks.

I screwed up when I added my 2nd sensor and pressed the learn button on my 1st garage door opener, I realized my mistake after I added the 2nd door so when I open door #2 it opens both garage doors, so I deleted my 2nd door and then added all over again this time using garage door opener #2 learn button, everything completed but it still opens both doors when I press garage door 2, does anyone know how to fully delete 2nd door so I can add over again? Hey, Andy! I just installed my 2nd sensor, but my issue is I want to be able to control them INDEPENDENTLY and haven't figured out how to do it! If I push one button, it opens both doors. If I push the same button, it closes both doors. If I push the 2nd button, it'll close the 2nd door only, but I can't seem to open and close either door independently of the other. Any ideas?

Is the button you're pushing the button on the app? or a physical button to open the garage door?

@@diyhda I had to clear the 1st one, disconnect the 2nd, then configure the 1st. Then I had to unplug the 1st one and configure the 2nd. They both work independently now since the physical doors are not sharing the same manufactuers' code!

Hello. I try many kind of set up. It control 2 garages at same time. But I want to set up to open and close in different time. Can You set up ro open separate 2 garage doors?

Yes, you can as long as your clicker has two buttons. What I did was program one button, then unplugged the garage door on the ceiling for the one I programmed, then I programmed the other one with the other button. Then plug the first back in and now if you click both buttons, both will open, but you can also open them separately by simply clicking one button.

Hello, Can you open and close 2 garages separate with one hub and 2 sensors? I did programmed on and I unplugged the first one. And sI set up another sensor to sencond garage. After finish setting up. So Now 2 garages door open and close at same time whenever I click open and close on the my Q app. Even I set up 1 hub , one sensor for each garage. It’s still the same.

I got a second sensor to add to my second door, and installed it exactly this way. When I try to open that second door, both doors open! But when I open the first door, only it opens. Has anyone had a similar problem? How did you resolve it?

@@BrianRouse try unplugging the power to the 2nd garage door opener. Then set up the first one and test it. Then unplug the first and plug in the 2nd and set that one up. Then test it and then plug in the first and test them both.

@@diyhda Unfortunately that did not work. I’m not sure how the two door controllers work; I may just wind up chucking the whole project. :-)
