Install native GMS, Google Play Store directly on Harmony OS 4.2 (Tested Jul 2024, 100% success)

Backing up data and performing a factory reset is recommended before working on this. Please make sure you follow all the steps one by one, and do NOT try to skip steps or process them in a different order, as this may impact the results.
In this video, I will show you how to install Google Mobile Services (GMS) directly on Huawei Harmony OS 4.2.0.120 or later without rolling back your device to HarmonyOS 3, 2, EMUI 11, 10, or earlier versions. (This video uses the P50E as an example)

1. Use one of the links below to download the ZIP file. (If the links are no longer working, please leave a comment and let me know. I recommend using Edge, Firefox, or Opera. As for why not Chrome, that's beyond my knowledge. I think the answer is similar to why you need to watch this video to install Google products on Huawei devices, lol...)

This is an express version for people who feel exhausted trying the stable version (4.0) that I posted last year. Note that this version only works if your device has been upgraded to Harmony OS 4.2.0.120 or later.
If you have the stable version installed on your device, you won’t need to use this. The benefit of this method is that it’s ideal for people with no knowledge of how to get Google Mobile Services apps on Huawei devices. This method has a 100% success rate, but the downside is that it does not allow updating Google Play Services to the latest version.

Working on a P60 Art Chinese version; I have a message though saying google maps will stop working due to Google Play being outdated -just like the author of video mentions in description. Is there a work around for this? Thank you so much for video :)

Thanks a lot for all this far. Please unfortunately some apps doesn't appear in the play store for example cash app (even downloaded from an alternate source it doesn't run either) and some google legacy apps like wearOS doesn't run. Just to find out if I missed out from something. Any ideas?

go to settings>apps>permission manager>more>special access> battery optimization> turn off the apps you want to get realtime notification
