The camera has a fault, the video keeps "jumping" as if it is losing frames every few seconds. 6:15 my car has all that on as standard from the manufacturer. Up to a few years ago, cheap 5 door family cars had all this, OnStar was one example with a phone App. The car could be switched off if stolen and send the location for example. Your proximity tag can be bypassed or even copied quite easily, so it is possible to drive off after you remote start. You also have to consider the security of your APP and phone and how easy it is to get in to them.

Unfortunately this is not true! All our Cat1 certified systems passed Thatcham’s strict testing with Remote start fitted! If you attack the car when the remote start is activated, the system is still armed and working! The alarm monitors all zones on the car, including doors, boot, bonnet as well as foot brake, handbrake, engine revs and much more. If it detects an attack with out the Pandora tag present, it shuts the car down.

I had my one year old RS5 Carbon, pride and joy, ultimate achievement for me, absolute or almost NAS car driving machine, stolen off my drive. They broke into my home and stole my key fob. I had already had an expensive tracker fitted but I didn’t know the car was gone until the morning. By this time although the vehicle was easily traced the thieves had abandoned my now very second hand car far away, kerbed all four of the beautiful alloys, dented panels on the body work, obviously abused the engine and removed valuables from the boot. I’m hoping they come back one night as I’ve got some of my own surprises in place now, plus I’ve invested in some powerful hand cleaner to efficiently wash the blood, brain matter and bone marrow from my trembling hands. Your RS3 is a peach 👍

I'd like to see a bit of testing with that, if it's seeing car battery voltage I'm assuming it's not battery powered? Couldn't someone lift it, then pull the battery terminal off to kill the tracker? Also classic Ben to wear a lanyard every day to be able to drive his car haha

There are loads of ways to bypass that system, it is quite basic, but to someone that wants to protect their car - they might think a lot of extras are doing something. The RFID tag is inconvenient to have to carry about, and it can be cloned from a distance or just bypassed. The GPS tracking can easily be blocked. The car can be opened while the autostart is running, that is a security fail. What they should have done is set it so the engine stopped if it detected doors being opened, then only a restart with key and proximity tag present. The phone App is probably very easy to get around by sending commands to the car with other devices. I will not mention them here, but one is about £300. The car can be pinched within about 30s anyway, they are insecure. Once the door is opened, a new key can be programmed and alarm deactivated. Remove the fuse for the 12v power to the diagnostics socket or relocate that socket completely... The best thing to do is use an old mobile phone hidden in the car as a tracker as a backup tracker if you do not have a professional alarm and tracker fitted.

Also, if someone really did want the car, I'd rather they broke in and took the keys by the door and didn't ransack my house for them, or even worse, come back and threaten you with a weapon when the car shuts off half a mile down the road.

Hi mate, where is a good place to get wheel alignment? I’ve been to have car checked twice now and when I’m on a straight road slightly cambered to left I have to hold steering wheel slightly to right to keep car straight.

That is how it should be! The road is taking the car to the left. Roads are not flat, that is to allow for drainage to the sides. If it is not a tracking or alignment problem and you have not fitted boy racer suspension not designed for the car, it will mess it up. If the steering wheel has been off, it is possible it is slightly out and needs repositioning again on the splines. The only other thing that could be messing it up is if it's being constantly driven up pavements, or hit a hole or even had a slight accident and was never repaired properly. You see that all the time with the CoPart Cowboy videos, they get a scrap car, throw a few new parts on and get shut.

That's very odd, as my VW Tiguan has a full system where I can find the exact location and status of my car from my phone. I can set off the alarm, flash the lights, lock or unlock the doors, open and close the windows, track previous journeys etc.
