How pleasant it must be to have the wild birds trust you so well that they eat out of your hand, Shawn. I really like the finished look of those under-eave soffits for your roof project. Not only does it look well, but will keep feathered and furry friends out of your roof too, I should imagine?

We went back to last week's video and the week before to see how fast your leaves have changed. We are so happy you include the video of the surroundings and the beauty that circles you. It's even more appreciated since we live in a state that has been so ravaged by the wildfires this year. My beautiful forrest that usually brings me such peace, has turned into charred trees and ashes. We are so happy your area has avoided these horrible things and that your cabin is getting the final stages for winter readiness. My Grandkids have decided there Dad needs to build them a cabin..lol. I so admire your skill, and determination. Stay safe and know 2 oldies but goodies and 2 kids are loving your videos.

@kaboom-zf2bl2 жыл бұрын
short of caulking joints he is pretty well closed up ... now he has time to get the last of the ground penetrations started (if he is lucky he may get his summer kitchen support posts laid in) so he has time to work the roof on then down to the floor ... during winter without having to deal with concrete hard frozen ground ... . earlier this month or last month I posted a link to the farmers almanac which basically said early snow long cold winter ... and it looks like Shawn read that as well and focused on getting closed up early to avoid problems ...

Shawn, Every time you retract your tape measure use your finger to stop the end of your tape from slamming into the body, otherwise, when you hook your tape to make a measurement, your cuts are all gonna be long because you’re just elongating your hook, which is riveted to the tape itself… It only took me 40 years to realize this in carpentry
