The first part of the video is the "How to install the 12" Beaver blade on a DR" section. Review starts at 5:12 and I think is a must watch for anyone thinking this product will be a game changer. Even with this tool you have lots of work ahead of you when clearing brush. Just a note on this video. I filmed this February of 2019 and forgot about it. Edited it 4 years later in February of 2023. We have used this tool a lot since filming this video and have worn out the teeth on the blade to the point we need to replace it no sharpening will save it now. In the video I said I was going to install a shed, I went for a 40 foot shipping contain instead. Thanks for being here if you have any questions please leave a comment and I'll get back with you.

is it worth the money? I have a hill side that I cannot get my tractor bushhog on because it is too steep for a tractor, but I can walk up it or down it. Has saw briars and small 1-2 inch pine trees and other brush I need to cut out of there. Is this a good tool for that?

My first thought is, it's a chainsaw blade. I would think that a 10" or 12" or 15" carbide tooth blade would work but then you don't get the additional adapters. If you hit fencing, steel posts ect. the chainsaw blade is dull but then carbide teeth would fail too. I don't know.

Thanks much. This sure is confusing, isn’t it. How did you get the large diameter mounting shaft for the plastic disks off. I didn’t see that part. Oh ok, now I see. So by using the Phillips driver in the hole in the frame, that locks the upper shaft from turning and the whole thing theads off? disks and all.

Unfortunately ours just started throwing the blade off while using. No idea why it won’t stay on. Any thoughts?

I've been trying to find my model # and the best way I've found to narrow it down is to search using the engine size. Mine is a 6.75 intek.

I just got my beaver blade and was wondering if its necessary to install the brake kit. I thought these already had a brake.

Can someone tell me where I can get just the attachment hardware? I have the exact same DR model but I have misplaced the mount kit. If it can't be purchased - provide measurements for the bolt & spacer?

Appreciate the video. How do you feel this blade would be for thick thorns vs the heavy gauge string? I keep snapping string and having to stop to replace it and was thinking a blade might be better.

The model number on this was stamped into a metal plate on top of the muffler. Model 121S07-0140-F1, serial #12030162; year 2012

$169 for the entire kit and I think $99 for just the blade

I use a stihl whipper snipper with a saw blade and it's 10x faster than this unit. It cuts 1.5" trunks with a swipe, no pausing. I've upgraded to a DR 30" brush mower to make trail clearing even faster. This unit doesn't seem efficient in comparison.
