Pausing this at “Charlie Brown lights” just to comment that my face is a bit fatigued from the big smile I’ve been wearing throughout this video. 😁 So fun celebrating these majestic trees becoming a part of your property with you all! I kept waiting to see Laura dump entire bags of bio tone into the holes ☺️ …loved hearing that happened! These trees have no idea the upgrade they just received in their transplant. 💚 Super happy for them and y’all!

I've always felt plants had life to a point but for me trees have souls. These trees do not know how lucky they are to have found their new home with you. The love you'll give and the joyous laughter of your children and family as they grow, together. To think one day your children might sit under them, with their children, recalling the stories that mum and dad told of the tree's arrival. I could tell you wanted to hug that tree Laura, and I concur. I can't tell you the times I've hugged trees in our woodland or gardens haha. And when I can look back and remember sitting under one with my dear mother, long gone now, and the laughter and tears both that the tree took up...They really are a thing of beauty and a part of the family. Welcome Trees!! To your new home, you'll get all the love of the family and all of we GA crew as well. SO happy for you and your garden. Thanks again for all you give to all of us Laura and GA.

@@YSLRD It's funny, for people, I'd say I'm not a hugger, but I do love to hug a tree now and again. We have a very old pine in our woodland that I dream of making a round bench around and I have fond memories of that tree with family, so if I'm down, I might give it a hug haha.

@DonnaDavisArt
@DonnaDavisArt 2 жыл бұрын
@@stephaniebalducci6248 So true, usually stroking the spruce's fronds is a bit nicer than hugging, so I agree :) It's as if tree's have the stories of the past to tell if we sit quiet and listen.

Love all the trees you have planted. Russell was just being a "tree hugger", so loving. I am a tree person also. The joy is wonderful. My father had a passion to plant trees. I would go with him. We had so many trees in our yard. I've planted in my current location many varieties. I did a tree project at the neighborhood elementary school at the end of my street. Well over 45 trees over a time of 30 years. Also took students to the local Arboretum for several trees there. Thanks.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I live in the Texas panhandle. Every tree here has been planted and cared for because, other than a few native trees from Palo Duro Canyon, this was nothing but prairie grass and later, after the cattle drives, mesquite showed up and a few cottonwoods and elms near the Canadian River and it's tributaries and offshoots. Trees are such a blessing!

I live in the South and we have pine trees, (they are not something I would call aesthetically pleasing to look at) and I haven’t been able to really appreciate all the spruce and evergreens you were putting in your garden until last week. I was in Oregon and drove from Seaside to Cannon Beach through a National Forest and all the way to the East side of the State. Oh my!!! I have never seen such beautiful trees so perfectly shaped and they were everywhere. The Forest looked liked the planting of the trees was planned, lol. I told my friend that I totally understand why you love these trees so much now. Videos just do not do them justice. You live in a beautiful State and I got so excited to see your new trees. I get it now and I guess the old saying that “seeing is believing”, holds true. 😃

* I said, out loud, to no one in particular, "Oh! My! Goodness!" when the first tree unfolded and I could tell it was a Blue Spruce (at first I thought it was a Juniper). It was right where the fallen Blue Spruce had been! That view is back! ❤ * The Red Maple will be beautiful to look at while sitting in the Hartley! * It is amazing how taking out the white rail fence instantly connects the "circle boxwood garden" to the rest of your north garden area. I love how your garden is turning into something of a wandering path with areas to be discovered. * So happy for both of you to have those beautiful trees to enjoy! ❤ * Love the Garden Shed over your shoulder at minute 20:22. Nice to have that structure in the South Garden! * Question for Melad Tree Farm: What kind of grass is planted in your tree growing area?

Me too! I recently moved to a new neighborhood and had a beautiful view of a neighbor's blue spruce that was the same size as Laura's one that came down. My neighbors lost theirs in an earlier storm here in Southern New Jersey last year. It had a 10''-12' circumference but no root system whatsoever and was dry as a bone underneath.... I miss it terribly because it blocked a 'not so nice' view in another yard that now feels exposed! 😩 I love this new replacement Laura & Aaron chose... back where it belongs! Your excitement is palpable, so happy for you! We had a 35-foot London plane that was installed the exact same way in Western WA. It is 50 miles west of Mt. Ranier, and we get some weather including heavy wind. The tree has a huge canopy and leaves-the grower said it could act like a sail and carry the entire tree away. We had them do 6 anchors, and it stood just fine against wind gusts up to 80 mph. I too lost some sleep, but 7 years later it is still there and glorious. We removed the tethers after 1 year, as recommended by the grower. It took about 2 years after planting before we saw substantial new growth. The first two years it sort of just hovered but leafed out beautifully in the spring each year nonetheless. The first few storms were indeed nerve-wracking. I’m optimistic yours are going to do great.

I was reading all the comments and everyone said basically everything that I wanted to say so I just wanted to tell you how excited I am for you and happy for you and also to tell you that when I lived in New York I had probably eight Colorado blue spruce planted on my land and they are so beautiful and the birds really love to make their nests in them. 👍😁

Eeeeek!! The video we’ve all been waiting for, comes out on a Saturday no less!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! When the video jumped right in to the blue spruce and it’s placement, my heart melted for you! Perfection! Deep watering, 2-3 times a week, how do you do that? Will they be on drip also? Magnificent trees, and the happiness they bring you both is just heartwarming! ❤️

My dad had a couple of trees installed this way when I was little. They are still there next to the house. I don't know if they were quite that big, but I don't remember there being any problems with them growing at all that first year. It was pretty neat to watch as a little kid. I loved the rushed, little garden tour you gave us.

I love trees so much and I’ve had a dream of my future house with a tree lined driveway🥰 I’m envious to say the least but in a good way

The trees look great. It's a "wow," on what equipment they have to perform the whole operation. It gives a lot of reference for open areas that are built, and then to achieve fast structure. Taking away the disappointment of feeling like you're planting a young tree, only to never see it's full potential. I'm into trees too Aaron, they're amazing.
