I have squirrels that run and cause damage on the roof in the warmer months. Do you know if this setup is relatively safe from squirrel potentially damaging the cables underneath the panels?

to protect wires you can install something like this: amzn.to/3Tk15Vb I did install it once, it takes a little bit of time to install, but worked well.

You mention getting close to 1600 watts with this 2S2P array, but given the Delta Pro 15 amp limitation, it seems you'd only get around 925 watts? I ran the numbers from those specific panels.
