anyone else waiting for that circlip to go flying down into the crankcases? That's what greasy rags were invented for...

Like most of my friends. Smash things together, rush everything, dont clean or do things the right way. Tell everyone you're real professional cause you've done it so much. Come to me to figure out why sh** dont work.

I did everything correctly and it still runs good to this day. I say if you want it clean you better clean it before you bring it to me. I don't have time to clean machines up. As long as there isn't dirt inside the engines I'm fine with that. Im a mechanic not a detailer!

Good friend ... In which Honda or warehouse page can I get spare parts for my atc
@TheBoilermaker488 жыл бұрын
omg your killing me dude, you're just teaching kids how to improperly install things .like cleaning the gasket surfaces !!! you talked about using the wood part of the hammer at the beginning but then you dropped the head down on the first set of rings probably bent them I'm surprised you didn't lose the pin into the engine when you're trying to put the piston on I can't watch anymore I feel sick
@cimotorsports-atv8 жыл бұрын
I cleaned the gasket surfaces between takes.. I didn't drop the cylinder down onto the rings.. yes I should have had a rag down because that clip could have dropped into cases for sure.. but all in all it ran great!

I think think the amount of kiddo's installing big bore kits on their atc70s is a fairly low number. I will say though, that exposed crank while putting im the clip had me on edge man. haa! livin life to its fullest for sure

I just scored what I think is a 70, but every number I got off of it, Google, nor Honda will give any information on it. Sucks. But I just need to know what and where is a good place to get parts

Spanglers off road sells alot of performance 70 parts. Also check out bbr racing

@cimotorsports did the customer take the old parts with him or did he leave them with you? Why was it burning oil?
@cimotorsports-atv5 жыл бұрын
Customer took the old parts. Was burning oil due to worn out rings
@dosbox9078 жыл бұрын
wouldnt it just be smarter to swap to a lifan or pirahanna? I mean, depending on how much more power the new top end puts out, that'll send extra stress to the crank which I assume is stock and cause more problems down the road. I went for the swap because of that concern. im curious if that kit caused reliability issues or not. Id love to know.

If I got the top rings backwards, like top ring in the second ring spot and second ring in the top ring spot would that cause excessive crankcase pressure?
@cimotorsports-atv7 жыл бұрын
+Tim Jackson im not sure if you could put the 2nd ring in the top ring spot because the 2nd ring is usually a little bit wider. But lets say you put a ring upside down. That could make it not seal properly and cause massive blowby. Some rings are tapered on the edge and must be inncorrext orientation in order to function properly.

They didn't make them, it is a kit you can buy that comes with a stretch kit, disc brakes, chrome everything, decals, and a big bore kit. Definitely worth it _lh3.googleusercontent.com/q3k5AUO2cskqo38RPr2BdLSams0-z6uwpOrSkbC97E34SzcbWQfEJ8lx12Gw1RZv2J4H7lRYfg_
