Dear viewer,
In this video I am showing you how to install an aftermarket xenon (HID) kit to headlights that are meant for normal halogen bulbs (H4, H7, etc...). In my particular case, the vehicle's original headlights were for an H4 type bulb, while the new aftermarket headlights accommodated an H7 bulb. To top everything, someone installed an aftermarket xenon kit and made a very poor job at that.
Therefore, instead of trying to fix the mess, I just opted to replace the entire kit with a new one, while at the same time properly mounting and securing the electrical components operating the xenon bulb - ballast, igniter and CANBUS emulator.
If you liked the video, please consider giving it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel for more content like this! As always if you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comment section below. I do my best to answer to all comments.

I added similar after market headlight on my 2002 G500. But my driver side headlight will function only for a few seconds before going out. Any idea what I did wrong?

The easiest thing would be to swap the bulbs around and see if the problem manifests itself on the other headlight. If it does, then the bulb is the culprit. Are you using normal halogen bulbs, LEDs or Xenon bulbs? Depending on the answer I will be able to give you more precise guidance if the simple troubleshooting doesn't help.

My G wagon is an 08/2002 model year. The headlights can be found on Ebay. There are tons of different options so you will need to pick the ones you like and fit your budget.

Excellent Video! I just bought an original 2002 MB G500 that I would like to convert from the original lighting to all LEDs. First of all, is that a good idea and what do I need to look out for. I did by an no. OEM projector headlight like yours. However it did not come with a Ballast or ignitor. The seller told me that I don’t need it. Indeed they seem to work without it. However, is that a good idea? As far as the rest of the external and internal lighting. What is the best way to convert those to LEDs? Is it sufficient for the internal lights to just replace the bulbs or do I need a resister?

LEDs don't need a ballast and igniter. These are used for Xenon bulbs. If you bought OE-looking aftermarket headlights like mine, these wouldn't come with a ballast and igniter, because they are made to accommodate either H4 or H7 halogen bulbs bulbs. In regards to the LED conversion. Originally I was looking into the Osram LED bulbs for the headlights, but ultimately decided against it. The reason was Xenons are for the most part brighter and work great in a projector headlight. LEDs look bright, but usually have lower LUX. Also, especially the cheaper options found on ebay, don't have the LED the same place as the filament is on a normal halogen, which means the light pattern will not be as focused as with the halogen or Xenon bulbs. To your last question, I know there are aftermarket LED tail lights and rear fog lights. I personally really don't like the look of either of these and will be keeping the outside of the G wagon as OE as possible. Still, if you do like them, then go ahead. It is all personal preference after all.
