LOL i just push the small line set out the hole and join them outside. And yes you need the BLUE on ever joint.

Good to know! Thanks for the tips!

I would install the indoor head first then make your final connections on the exterior instead of connecting everything then threading it through the hole.

What are your thoughts there? Just to ensure there are no leaks before wrapping it up? Thanks for the comment!

@ it’s to help with workmanship, and makes the install much easier.

You incorrectly indicate at 0:10 that the unit is rated "1,200 Btu." It is actually rated "12,000 Btu/hr."

Woops, can't believe I missed that. You're right, I misspoke. It's a 12,000 BTU unit (linked in description). Thanks for pointing that out!

@@BackyardSHREDSI’ve seen videos where they make corrections at that exact moment in the audio, or even putting a text box up over that moment that needs correcting. Would like to see that , but I imagine it would need the video to be edited and re-uploaded. Depends on how tenacious you are for accuracy! Came by this video in my regular home feed!

So many issues with this install. Don’t spray soapy water on a system in vacuum. It won’t bubble it will suck water into the refrigerant lines. Spray only after you release the gas so there is pressure on the system. You weren’t closing the blue valve on the line set from what I could see in the video. The vacuum pump is not sealed so leaving the valve open was creating a path for atmosphere to be pulled back into the system through the pump. Lastly don’t disconnect from a service port in vacuum. The Schrader valves are meant to hold pressure in. Disconnecting before they have pressure behind it can cause atmosphere to be pulled into the system.

Should have cut the line set. That extra 2 ft of curl looks terrible 😅

Looks or efficiency? (It's behind the building up against woods where no one sees it)
