Installing A Heavy Duty Aftermarket Intercooler On A RZR Turbo or Turbo S!!

Today we install a PWR C&R Intercooler on my 2017 RZR Turbo!! With the big turbo on this machine we felt we exceeded how far you can safely push the factory unit and decided to upgrade the intercooler to a more efficient and stronger setup. You dont run the heat shield between the muffler and the intercooler? I know it doesn't look as good with it on but doesn't it help the intercooler do its job better?

Your original video made me reach out to the manufacture to double check on the lower seal, i remembered seeing another video that reused the seal and then saw yours not using it and thought better be safe than sorry. BTW those coolant hose pinch pliers suck. coolant still spews out with them pinched as tight as they go. Maybe just the variance in my machine but had a hard time getting some of the bolts started that hold the IC to the intake, just slightly off but was able to get it.

I believe the directions we where given didn't say to reuse. The company got ahold of us and told us to reuse the gasket and that they would updated the directions. So on the hoses, this time we used some wood quik clamps and had no leakage other than what was in the line. Thanks for chiming in :)

Any regrets of problems re-using the upper seal/gasket? I'm tearing my '18 down, didn't think to get a spare gasket, and see Poo recommends replacing it. Thanks!

When you installed the new IC did you fill it with coolant before installing or just put coolant in threw reservoir

I noticed you had an “extra” O2 sensor on your header pipe. What is that for please?

Question I just blew my intercooler. Dumped all the coolant through motor. Didn’t catch it till RZE shutoff By itself due to over temp. What should I be worried about with motor? How in depth of a motor inspection should I do?

Personally, i would change the intercooler, do a couple oil changes then let it get up to temp and see if it knocks. Thanks for watching! Let us know how it turns out.

Holding up great!! From what we understand is works as well as the stock unit for cooling while having the strength needed for making it reliable especially with higher boost numbers. Thanks for watching.
