Cool lip for cheap, I have the same one. But I didn’t completely cut off all the fasteners on the lip, I left small parts of 5 fasteners and made 5 slots for them in the bumper, put them in the slots and then screwed them on. Among these 5 fasteners, be sure to leave 2 of them at the ends of the lip so that at the corners the lip is tightly pressed to the bumper

Hey, sending you a super chat for your time again. I am crossing the parts collection finish line to swap my CRV from auto to manual just small stuff and prep work now. I have a few questions. 1. How much different is the Automatic from the Manual harness for the interior? I know the ignition switch has a “park” lockout that needs to be disconnected, but will the automatic harness plug into the manual ECU and function properly without modification? 2. On the b20 transmissions is there anything I should look out for or replace other than synchros and seals? I found a used unit that was in a CRV that I pulled. 3. Do I absolutely need a manual CRV throttle body or can I adapt my automatic version to work with a manual idle air control valve.
@hondaresource10 ай бұрын
Thank you, 1) I can't say for certain on the differences as I've never done a manual conversion on a CRV. If it's like a Civic, you should just have to do the park bypass, wire in the reverse sensor to the auto shifter wiring, and you wont have to use clutch to start unless you add that. The ECU will plug right in and work as it should, you will have an extra plug that isnt needed for the manual ecu (the plug controls all the auto trans crap) 2) sounds like you've pretty much got it covered there. 3) I wasn't aware that there were differences with the throttle body, I thought it was just the iacv.

@@hondaresource thanks man, normally you just go and buy a manual version of the car your swapping as it just makes more sense but this is a high mileage one owner CRV that I purchased and I’m starting to get some shudders and rough shift from the automatic I’ve put around 30,000 miles on it and crossed 315,000 last month. The CRV is super clean still has all the paint and interior is mint I just want the bulletproof nature of the manual transmission.

HELP!! Thanks in advance. My 2001 CRV coolant fan is acting possessed! I've changed out the thermostat, coolant switch and sensor. The fans don't come on when the engine starts to over heat but after I shut it off and let it set for about 5 minutes, the fans will kick on with just turning on the ignition. Normal driving is fine but when it gets under strain(I live in the mountains) it will start to overheat. The coolant doesn't look dirty so I think the radiator is ok. I've got 202k on this engine. Any suggestions??
@hondaresource9 ай бұрын
thats weird. Hard to say without some diagnostic. It is a pretty simple circuit. Jump the fan switch on the thermostat housing with a paperclip and see if the fans come on (key needs to be on). If yes, then it the fan switch, if no, check to see if you are getting 12+v to each fan and a good ground. If yes, bad fan, if no, relay is likely the culprit.
@michaeladams38299 ай бұрын
I’ve jumped the switch and both fans worked. I just had a new tranny put in so I’m thinking a ground. I greatly appreciate your feedback!!
