Installing a KLR650 choke cable eliminating manual enricher valve.

The choke cable on my Kawasaki KLR 650 wasn't working so I went a head and ordered this inexpensive manual enricher valve off of AliExpress. I think it was $18 or so including shipping. I'm happy with how it works and would recommend this modification over repairing your stock set up.

HIIIII! just arrived yesterday from Kazakistan after 2 weeks! So i was turning on the KLR from 2003 pulling the wire! this morning i installed and is fantastic! Greetings from Switzerland

Just ordered mine today, tired of that silly little black plastic grommet, mine is totally stripped and always popped out just hanging there, glad this is a good solution, another step closer to 100% bulletproofing the Klr650

I can’t stand mine. It’s too hard to access. And if you tighten it so it won’t vibrate back in from the motor then it’s too hard to pull out. Gonna have to extend mine somehow or tie a string to it😝

It's been just fine, the only drawback is it's hard to use on the fly. I now wait for the bike to warm up (run without the choke on) before taking off.
