Installing a McLeod RST Street Twin Clutch Kit behind my SBF

I've chosen to use a ‪@McLeodRacingClutches‬ P/N MCL-6913-07 RST Street Twin Clutch Kit to transmit power to my Tremec TKX transmission, and mounted it to an ‪@CenterforceClutches‬ 700225 billet steel 157-tooth flywheel. I recommend using an ‪@RAMClutches‬ billet steel alignment tool when installing a dual disc clutch; I used the 03-048, which has the same 1-1/8" 26-spline dimensions as my transmission input shaft, and is compatible with my 0.670" pilot bushing. Installation of the clutch kit was relatively easy, and the quality of all parts that I used was very high.

@@billsgarage if you look up irymple, Victoria, Australia Bill, you will see just how far you reach in miles lol. I actually drove to Melbourne yesterday to pick up my T56. Its going into a XK Falcon Ute (truck to you).

Ive seen just a hand full of your videos and looks like your building a beast … i cant wait to see more videos to see the car to see if your gonna use a power adder ect!!!! Btw it looks like a 76 mustang from what i can tell .. i really like those in the cobra and the coupe bodystyle best

No power adders, but it will be fuel injected. That's a '78 Ghia in the background, but the vinyl top will be coming off, and the tiny opera windows are getting replaced with the larger ones from the regular coupes. I'm also pulling off all the vinyl trim that runs down the sides, so you'll be able to see the body lines of the car, which are actually pretty nice once you remove all of that gaudy stuff. Awesome clutch and great video. I'm going to need to upgrade my clutch pretty soon, and might as well since I have the engine torn apart etc. The only post clutch replacement problem I can forsee is my stock T5 being the new weak point. (RST/RXT, whats the difference?) Nice to get a good review on a possible replacement and an in-depth viedo along with it.

My original plan was going to be a T-5 with a decent street clutch, but the more carried away I got with the engine, the more I realized I'd have a good chance of breaking a T-5! This clutch mated to my TKX is a great balance between durability and driveability. Thanks for watching!
