Installing a Minisplit on a Tiny House

In this video I finally install the MiniSplit on the tiny house. We kept getting rained-out, and other thigs took precedence, but we finally got it done - and it worked out perfect! The lines came out exactly as I had hoped, it looks real nice, and there is plenty of room for the stone walkway that will go thru there at some point. Now for the recharge. I may need to design a cover for this as it is right about where the dripline for the building will be 🤔 I'll have to keep an eye on things, but if it does need one, I can bolt it to the legs of the stand, and remove it for maintenance on the compressor when needed. It was nice having the house on stilts like that so you could tuck the refrigerant lines under like that!

It also helps with rodent control. The cats love it under there so there are zero mice 😉

Another fine project completed, using rock will help alot splashback and erosion.

Thanks Jodi, I was thinking the same thing! It will be nice once the stone and apron are in place (as well as the rest of that dirt underneath the building gone!) so that mud splash stops. Hopefully I can get to it this year with all of the rain delays 💧💧💧💧😐💧💧💧💧💧💧

I'm seriously thinking of installing one of these in my uninsulated garage just to use on those occasions when I am working out there. It's not very often, but it's miserable when it's hot! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

That was a nice tidy install! I had no idea what you were talking about when you said you were going to rout the hoses underneath the building, but that was a perfect solution for the building!

It was a real challenging install. My first thought was to run the lines along the bottom of the building - but that would have looked terrible! I'm real happy as well, now to get this thing charged!

Great job Mojo! That was an awesome way to hide that! You still have enough room for the walkway, and once you paint the cover the whole installation will be super tidy! I like it! 😊

It will look real interesting through there when I am done. I want to round the walls around the bushes and prune the bushes to have trunks to let a bit more light in and add interest. Should look awesome some day!
