Awesome idea. I usually try to grab some out of my gallon bucket when i make my rinseless wash bucket. This method works great if I am using distilled water for a glass cleaner solution!

What did you use to clean or prep the plastic and can you use it on the rubber trim around windows

I just used traditional degreaser, straight. Will certainly knock off any films or protectants. You may use whichever that is readily available to you. 👍 For the rubber on the windows, you may apply it, but rinse almost immediately for a safe work area 🙌

First 6 months its nice but then it will start to fade and if you re apply it wil never get as black as the first time. Trim wil also cause that a dressing wil not penetrade the plastics anymore so a classic dressing is no more an option. I only use it on headlights now.

It is actually still dark 😎I have an area of the trim that is not coated, behind the license plate, that I keep for reference to see how the coating is doing. Still holding strong after all of these months 👍

With first apply the result is absolutely nice but sooner or later it will fade and then what? This is just my experience when I applied it on my bmw. For me never again.

This is a plastic trim coating for porous plastics, not meant for ones with clear coat 🤔
