Installing a roof basket on a 2021 Bronco Sport

That’s correct we got the basket and the rail from Harbor freight everything matched up perfectly the basket side sets the roof correctly as well.

Also one of the things we did with the rails that run across the mountain basket one they will come silver I went and painted ours a flat black. That was amazing new to prep for it it really didn’t want to Silver rail so we just made that black to match everything else on the basket

I purchased and installed using the OEM crossbars. Clears the sunroof just fine. But….the wind noise, a loud howl, occurs beyond 45mph. Thinking of removing the metal plate (with the decal) on the front to hopefully eliminate. Are you having any problem with wind noise?

No, we don’t seem to have really any noise with the wind with ours

Hi! when you painted the cross bars, did you have to strip the bars first, then primer, then paint?

No, I just put the first two coats on light and then I periodically would just keep adding more coats on to the bars

Does your wife's Bronco Sport have a sunroof? Mine does and I am wondering if the cross bars will clear the open sunroof?

It does not but you can adjust the bars either forward or backwards. I think if I remember correct there was 4 inches above the roof. I think you would be ok with clearance

@@FF54Vic Thank you for the reply. The sunroof is very odd in my opinion. The entire glass roof pulls up and angles upwards, with the back end jutting a good inch above the side rails. Inside, all that is revealed is a regular small rectangular sunroof hole. I will really need to get my dimensions correct!! I may need to go with the OEM cross bars, which I hope will accommodate this Haulmaster cargo basket. Research, research, research.....
