Installing A Short Throw Shifter On My Lancer With No Experience!

It's comforting to watch a man learn his way through modding his own ride. I run a Lancer too - one of the CS5A models. She has some snazzy Ralliart parts and I really want to clean her up, but the engine and gearbox is really getting on in age. This certainly inspires me to make it work though. First step, cleaning up the rust spots haha

@@KyleSpoor watched a friend of a friend do this with his 2017 porsche haha changed it to a forged stainless steel ball bearing one.... but surprisingly the standard one he took out..... All Plastic hahahahaha

i'm still watching , so i havent finished the video yet and i realise its 12 months too late but the 4 aluminium thick "washers" in the bag are feet for the cage. it's to stabilise the cage and reinforce the shift feel.

Ohhhh gotcha!! You can get ones that come with that pull up piece 😄 I have no idea how it would go installing it but if it feels like this one it’s definitely worth it!

Id imagine it would work as the CH lancers use the same setup as the eco 7 8 9. On the Ebay advert it covers a lot of egos. I have a 2007 CH too so ill buy this shifter and hope it works hahah
