Great video - might be good to mention the M buttons may not work at first after refitting the wheel so don’t panic - you can fixit by turning the wheel lock to lock, or driving the car for a bit before they function again

Awesome! We have similar taste lol I have the oem CS wheel also with the carbon/gloss black trim piece. I love the quality while not being too flashy a lot of ppl get the m performance wheel with the shift lights but I feel it looks tacky specially if you already have a heads up display

Weird fact, if you ever use a wheel lock (theft prevention) never use it on the OEM Alcantara wheel. Put a wheel lock on mine for just around 2 hours and it dented a small piece of the inner foam and never rose back no-matter what I tried to do. Seems like the foam compound used for the alcantara wheel isn't as "spongey" as the leather wheel.

You can always buy a heated steering wheel from Coby Wheels, I bought two wheels from them, one for my X5M and one for the M3.

Where'd you get those M buttons and Start/Stop button from? IND or elsewhere? Btw, the polar blue is a nice contrasting touch for the buttons in the interior and caps in the engine bay. Good job!

Great DIY video, loving the videos. One question for you - when you install the CS steering wheel do you still end up plugging the 2 connectors in place knowing that the heat function will not work or do you leave one of the two connectors unplugged? Thanks!

Thanks! It’s been a ton of fun. Really enjoying the process. The one plug stays on the OEM leather wheel so there’s nothing to plug into it on the new wheel.

Both great options, but always found the LED wheel to be too gimmicky to me. I like the simplicity of this one. But I don’t think you could go wrong with either!
