Loving the updates. Yes, I think if you cover the white plug with painter's tape you can spray paint it black.
@jenniferbormett84484 жыл бұрын
If your Alexa plug is the correct width you might be able to cover it in a strip of black electrical tape. Otherwise, I suggest using fireproof black spray paint - we have it here in US for recoating outdoor fire pit rings, fireplace grates, stovepipes etc. Obviously you still have to avoid the contact points but using that sort of paint so close to electrical contacts would give me peace of mind :)

Emma, to avoid white plugs on black wall you can use a smart bulb instead. For the lamp which has only 1 bulb it’s a nice solution. Besides, you can dim the light or even chose color (if the bulb has this option) while with the plug you can only switch it on and off and put a timer. I use TP-link bulbs which don’t need a hub and are reasonably priced.

I can’t believe there are no black smart plugs around...Amazon have missed a trick there! In the meantime you could try my trick...I don’t like having lots of wires showing so, by my bedside tables where we have the lamps, Alexa, chargers, etc I have an extension lead plugged in the wall then the rest of the gubbins are plugged into that and hidden underneath the bedside table. Makes it look neater. Black extension cords are easily available 😊 The renovations are looking amazing! Well done to you both!! Have a lovely weekend xx

Looking good Emma! What type of bulb does the lamp need? Can you not just get a smart bulb then that would negate the need for the plug?
