Those Govee lights are amazing. I am impressed with how easily they were installed. And then you can't see them during the day at all. Really nice. I hope there is a more "Christmassy" mode we can see as the season approaches.

I love Govee led lights!! I haven't messed with any outdoor lighting like y'all did, but I have tons of Govee led strips in my house. Over the kitchen cabinets and under the edge of the kitchen bar counter; in a recess of my bedroom wall where my bed is, as well as a strip under the edge of the bed frame. Also, all of my lamps have Govee smart bulbs, and I have a strip behind my TV as a backlight. I did a lot of research when I was looking for light strips, and Govee was always a top contender in any review I read or watched, mainly because of the quality of the product versus the very reasonable price. They easily outperform brands that are 4x the cost.

I’m with you on heights Andrea. Even on a three foot step ladder I get shaky. When I was a young sailor I was given the task of removing the canvas cover over the funnel. I informed the Chief that I was afraid of heights. His reply, “sounds like a personal problem.”. Needless to say, I ended up climbing up the side of the funnel to remove the cover.

We have Govee lights in the game room and in our back yard and they are so great! We love the themes and the brightness. We also have them set up to our Google home so turning them on and off is so simple. Especially if you're lazy! 🤣

We are putting up permanent christmas lights on the house . I can't wait, I have been waiting for this , for yearssss. I am the one in our family who lovesssss Christmas the others , well they don't . I noticed "some" families in the region putting up permanent light up on their homes. I noticed Costco's sale Govee Lights . We are only going to put up 1,000 ft , Infront of the house this year 2024. And see how it all works out and if it does , then I will hire someone put the lights on , each sides of the home . No need for the backyard. We have a Ladder like yours ( little giant ), but we are going to rent a Scissors Jack . Because the 2 HIGHEST points of house is real High.

Noticed that when you did the transition to the second floor you hid the lights behind the downspout. Is it possible to turn off individual lights show the don't show? Or can you purchase an extension with no light to connect the string? Love the final effect. Nice job!

In the app you can turn off specific lights I believe! I keep meaning yo actually do that, but I saw the option to :)

They held up well for quite a while, but recently all started coming down 😕 not sure if it was the extreme heat this summer or what. I think they did have extra clips you screw on every few lights to make them more secure but I didn’t use those (probably should have)

how did yall run the electrical? did yall just plug them in? seems a hassle when you edge to have to move lighting and having a bunch of cords everywhere seems like a pain. I am looking at getting the govee lights that yall have. Since you have multiple light set ups from the roof and the ground are they all synced off the same app or do you have to select each strand andd sync them? thanks and love what yall have done to the house!

I have a question if you don't mind. Looks like you have 3 separate sections there (left, right, and 2nd story middle). Are they 3 different disconnected sets, with 3 different plugins? I assume you'd have to buy 3 different boxes in that case. or did you use some sort of extension cable between sections and only have to use 1 plug and 1 set?

Exactly what I've been looking for to replace Christmas lights. But how well are these rated to work and stay put in extreme cold temps like less than 0 degrees Fahrenheit. I love in Iowa so snow and cold is what would make hesitate buying these.
