SX3 fader was leaking on the right side, so I removed the top metal cover to get to the fader and sprayed it with compressed air. Fixed!!! Now I have to figure out how to fix the play/pause button bc when I press it, the song will play for 1/2 a second and then stop or vice versa if the song was already playing. If anyone’s fixed this please let me know. Thank you.

Hey bro, great video. I have a question regarding the SX3: Is there any decent and hard-waring vertical channel volume faders that you can put in the DDJ-SX3? And if so, any in particular that you would recommend? I bought an SX3 in September 2019, and if I'm honest I'm not incredibly impressed with the build quality, particularly the faders. I mostly mix Drum & Bass, meaning I'm doing a lot of fast cutting and slamming tunes into the mix. Channel 1 fader already started to cut out & die by about May 2020, and I sent it off for repair over Summer 2020. Over the last 12 months I've barely used it, perhaps 10 times total. But I jumped on it last night and the Channel 1 fader seems to be on it's way out again!!! The one that was replaced and barely used since. So, is there any better faders I could upgrade to that can take a good slamming and beating? Cheers. 👍🏼

Wzup Travis, unfortunately I could not find pro grade channel faders for the SX3. I would recommend reaching out to the innofader team they may be able to offer an alternative solution. It may not be a plug n play solution but with some modifications it may be worth it. The only controllers I'm aware of that accept upgraded line faders are the traktor hardware, but not sure its worth changing ecosystems. Best of Luck.

Wzup Xavier. Yes, the crossfader curves still work on the SX3 after the upgrade.

What's Good Man1! What's the difference in the innofader and changing the crossfade settings on the front of the unit with the stock fader?

Wzup Brian, the Innofader cut in distance will be sharper (shorter) than the stock crossfader at the same setting. You also get the opportunity to "fine tune" the crossfader based on your preference...You may prefer more lag on one side or the other which the potentiometer will provide that level of customization. @@mj_e_boc Wzup Ronald, yes it is possible but it may be slightly different (roll off and cut-in) than the stock fader considering the fine tuning capabilities of the Innofader.

Wzup Courtney, thanks for checking out the video. The Innofader offers a better experience for scratching with sharper cut-in and response. Overall it will last longer than the stock crossfader due to its design. If you are starting your DJ journey you may not need it at the moment. Best of luck.

Wzup Jeff, when I configured my Innofader it remained on the sharpest setting and I never changed it. I no longer have the SX3 to confirm but I tested the theory with the Primo (Innofader installed) and I believe the following applies... When configuring the Innofader on a particular setting the desired outcome is only achieved when the setting is selected. I don't believe you will lose the ability to use a different slope but it will be important to make your adjustments based on the sharp setting so the other slope settings will be applied correctly. For example, setting the slope on the SX3 to balanced and changing the Innofader settings to sharp, afterward changing the SX3 switch to sharp may produce undesired results. You may notice a difference overall because it is a switch instead of a potentiometer and you cannot fine-tune the curve but I believe it will still do the job. I apologize for the long explanation but I wanted to provide as many details as possible. Best of luck.
