Just picked up a 72 and the fader don't seem sharp enough the cut in has almost a cm of dead space. Is there any way to fix it or do I need a different fader. I do a lot of scratching and have the inno fader pro 2 in my z2

Inno doesnt work after the update on the firmware of the 72 . I just updated and it doesn’t work at all . Mixer says error and not reading fader

Wzup DH D... Thanks for sharing, I checked out the site and its good to see Audio Innovate already got a workaround/solution, but I know its tough if you don't have the MAG3 until you receive the updated adapter.

@@Paulorp1979 Yes I have a TTM56S, should be the same fader. Just yesterday I cleaned them and I have a Rane 72 with mag4s coming my way... I loooove the 56s faders. Using that mixer for 14 years now

@@Paulorp1979 Okay I've just got the Rane 72 with Mag4 Fader. Initially I liked the Rane TTM56S' Crossfader more BUT if you open up the mixer and REMOVE the tension screw it's actually even lighter than the 56S and it feels a little more "high quality". So I think the Mag4s are a little step up from the Rane TTM56S

Great review! Do you know if it possible to change the rane one’s faders (left/right) in order to have better smooth glide, or a tips to adjust the tension ? Because the faders are very strong comparing to the crossfader?

Wzup Stream Forever, thanks for the feedback. That is a great question. I wish I could check for you but I no longer have the Rane One but I would suggest trying some DeOxit Faderlube spray. I noticed that the Rane One states the channel faders are "standard". Compared to the 70 and the 72 the badges say "MAG FOUR X3" referring to the upfaders as also being adjustable. I will send an email to Rane and ask and let you know. Thanks again.

Wanted to follow-up with you. Chloe from Rane responded to whether the channel faders can be upgraded and unfortunately they are not replaceable.

The way I interpreted it was it can't be upgraded or replaced...but Chloe's response for reference was 'Hi there! Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, it is only the crossfader that is replaceable.' From my tech background, I know anything is possible but it may be at the expense of the warranty if you need to solder in the replacement (if not PNP). I would still consider the faderlube spray option but I reached out to innofader as well to see if they have a solution and waiting for response.

Why not put in an innofader? thats the only fader that can hold its own against the magvel from pioneer. Mag four doesnt even come close. at least one tier below.

Wzup Kenshin, thanks for checking out the video. Honestly it was due to price and purpose. I have Innofaders in all of my other controllers and they are great crossfaders. I am not a turntablist but I did prefer the feel of the MAG 4 after using the Rane One, and I saved $50 on the upgrade. At some point I will be replacing the Rane 72 with the S-11 but the price is a little steep. I hope it will be this year🤞. The Rane 72 is still a great mixer and it was my first piece of Rane gear but I like some of the additional features and compatibility of the S-11.

@@XFaderz hey man, if you like the rane layout, for that money i would get an innofader and two rane twelves instead of the s11. It only offer a different layout compared to the 72 and the way effects are selected is slightly different. Nothing else really that I know of. What feature has the s11 that that 72 doesnt have?

@@Presbiter The biggest feature I need is compatibility with all of the major dvs software (rekordbox, serato, traktor, vdj). I have a few controllers so I would like to focus on a solid mixer to offer that flexibility. The loop implementation is better and multi-deck access is cool. I believe the screen is better on the S-11. Overall I think it's a better investment for the long term and supporting the channel.
