Installing SIRIUSXM Radio in 2021 Road Glide

This is to show how easy it is to #install the SIRIUSXM Radio in the 2021 #Harley #RoadGlide. I had the SIRIUS Docking Station on my handlebars. But the Docking Station was broken. I decided to get the Module that installed in the radio. In the past, it was attached outside the radio. This is so much better. I installed Harley-Davidson part number 76000842, fits '19-later Touring and Tri-Glide models equipped with a Boom!™ Box GTS infotainment system. Harley has two SIRIUSXM systems for the Rushmore radios. 76000351 is for the 2014-2018 GT radios.
I also didn’t remove the 3.5mm Auxiliary plug. I moved to the Fairing Pocket.

@@TheRoadGlideRider In case I decide against getting a newer bike I am thinking of adding this to my 2014 Limited. The unit new and subscription for traffic and music for 15 years would be the same as a newer head unit just add Android Auto/Apple Carplay.

I’m glad I could help! I’ve use it all the time. Especially great last summer on my trip cross country. I have the weather and gas part in addition to the SIRIUS channels. Makes finding gas easy in areas I’m not familiar. Enjoy! 🏍💨🏍💨

I'm wondering if your 2019 or later model GTS radio (non Sirius option) with recognize the module after its plugged in or do you have to have a Dealer flash the GTS head unit to use on your bike?

Thanks for watching my video. I was required to take it to the Dealership to have the GTS Radio flashed to activate the SIRIUSXM unit. I already had a subscription so I just needed to switch the radio serial number. Afterwords I also had the Traffic Link and Traffic activated. This gave the GTS the ability to search for gas, see weather, and find traffic problems. It does cost extra, but it’s great on trips!

I have some music on my IPhone, but the wide choice of stations that doesn’t burn my data. Plus live changing music, the weather screen with traffic channels make my SIRIUS a must when traveling cross country. But to each their own. Ride Safe. 🏍💨🏍💨

Do you need to pay an extra monthly subscription when you install the unit? I’m also curios about the headset set up you have.Could you tell me about that?

Thanks for watching my video. Yes, anything through the SIRIUSXM Unit is a Subscription service. There are different level subscriptions. The Harley-Davidson unit also has three extra things that aid when traveling. There is a selection to find gas, with pricing, and lodging. There is Road Hazzard and weather. These are also an extra charge. So far, I have found the only thing I don’t feel is worth the money is the road hazard. It’s not much information but the largest cost. I also have added the Rider Headset Kit. It’s only for the Rider, not the passenger. It also enables the CarPlay for my IPhone.there is also an installation video for this. It cost very small compared to the WHIM. Plus the headset doesn’t need to be recharged.
