Well done. Its hard work climbing ladders and feeding through wires and getting tools and cutting wires and getting the ladders on the roof and carrying stuff and tools and going back for the tape measure, then the right screws and the right drill, all the while getting crap in your eyes and scratching your knees on the felt. But its all worth it when they appear home and say: "Cheers Dad, is there any food? See ya later, I'm off out...."

@@Building_Jays_Way I thought that might be the issue. It looked a little tight in there. During the pandemic, we put new insulation in our attic and also added some lights to be able to see up there... then we discovered the bathroom fan never vented through the roof, the duct was just hanging loose in the attic space! I went through the roof when I saw that!

Now that you have the bath fan installed, don’t forget to vacuum it periodically! I just did a job yesterday where I pulled out an insane amount of dust from a bath fan I installed several years back for a client. Yes, I have it hardwired to that outlet. Then it runs off Bluetooth switch that I put into the wall. That does not have any power to it. It’s just battery operated. It also has an app that you can put on your phone to run it.
@peterwarnstrom88722 ай бұрын
While I was watching this, I kept thinking, what about a switch to control the fan. You more than had that covered. Really cool fan and features. I would be interested in knowing how this works for you over time, battery life for controller, etc. If you have a GFCI breaker feeding the circuit powering your fan, you are good. Thanks for the video. I always enjoy checking out what you are up to.

National electric code states when a fan is in the shower like that it needs to be gfci protected. That’s why we never install them in a shower. 1” outside the shower no gfci. It needs a gfci outlet before the power to the fan to meet code. I’m only telling you this for info. I do plenty of stuff that works just fine and is safe at my house that isn’t technically code.
@Building_Jays_Way2 ай бұрын
So the breaker is a GFCI. Is that sufficient?
