Installing The ECS Tuning Cold Air Intake | 2024 Audi RS3 Gets Louder!

👋 Time to test out another air intake for the 8Y Audi RS3! In today's video I install the ECS Tuning cold air intake on our 2024 Audi RS3. Overall this is a very nice kit. I like the solid carbon fiber intake tube and the very large air filter. The heat shield also connects to the factory air duct and really does a good job sealing out the hot air. I did a test towards the end of the video to see how the intake air temps compared to when I did them stock after buying the car. Seems like this intake gives you very similar to stock temps. Also the kit fit very easy and comes with the adapter valve for the recirculation pipe. Very nice looking air intake and well thought out for design and this really isn't that expensive for a carbon fiber air intake! Love the sound too! Since it's more of an open box around the filter, you can really hear the induction and blow off sounds!

Although I am curious about Unitronic dropping a forged carbon fiber intake for the RS3, they just dropped it for the S3

I sold the GTR about a year ago to buy my Lamborghini. In a few years I'm planning to buy another GTR tho ;) What's the doggone insert? Haven't really heard of that

@@BrosFOURRSpeedthe aftermarket Dogbone insert (get the 034 one) replaces the factory one which is known to be a little sloppy. It essentially provides smoother shifts as there’s less play in the mount itself. 100% recommend for the price.

I like the Supra better since I just like coupes. I like the steering a handling in the Supra. RS3 is great tho since its more practical and much faster with perfect grip. My comparison goes over all that better then I can type out.

If given a choice, what would you pick...a rs3 or a X3M competition?

That's a hard one since they are different types of vehicles. For a design under $70k, we love the RS3. For an SUV at around $80k the X3M is a cool option. But we don't have a need for an SUV. And when we do, we'll go for the Audi SQ8

I will be making a video comparing all three in the next month! Armaspeed is working on a new version for the 8Y so you don't need the adapter kit. As of now all three are really good. Just depends on budget and style. But 'll have a video soon!

No problem! We had MST and Armaspeed on our 2016 S3. I don't think they have one yet for the 8Y. But the ECS one will be sweet!
