Hey mate, love the channel and how you go about it! The Ez-Flow is definitely a great product and design. Just wondering if you have a discount code to use with them. Such an expensive product and such a large price increase to go from the 3.2L to the 5.7L. Don't know how they justify that (design and R&D I guess as the product appears to be quite affordable to produce). Would love for you to do a video on Tahoma 31 vs TifTuf vs Standard Wintergreen (Controversial topic I am sure - the Tahoma that is).

Nice work, love the idea of fertigation, used it in vineyards and always thought it could be excellent for lawns. A tip: switch to the pink thread tape, less wraps and chance of leaking. I've been using it for years and don't bother with the white thin stuff anymore. Also a bit of coarse gravel in the base box keeps the inside base clean and easy to work in. Great video as always, love the educational aspect.

I can believe how fast your green is recovering from the renovation, this wet spring is ideal growing conditions. 35mm in 4 days sounds great, I’ve had 110mm this week and now it’s too soft to mow and too windy to put down PGR ☹️ Looking forward to an update on the zoysia, I was expecting it to be slow to establish. TifEagle looks good 👍
@theaussielawn
@theaussielawn 2 жыл бұрын
As of 9am today we have had 130mm so similar amounts. Same story here to wet to cut but its sorta spindly so not too concerned it will bounce back as you know. The Zoysia is starting to stretch its legs and send out runners yeah its def slow but theres a stubborn side of me that still wants to make my green entirety zoysia haha so will see how that plays out for me long term. Eagle is flying along nicely

@@theaussielawn zoysia is sneaky, it spreads from rhizomes as much if not more than stolons. Don’t be surprised if it appears away from the plugs. Hey mate, love the video. I have just built and I stalled a diy fertigation system for my irrigation and am curious if you think that your sprinklers are even enough to distribute Nitrogen without leaving greener patches? Are these systems better for soil amendments? I have rotator sprinkler nozzles so a little different to you.
@theaussielawn
@theaussielawn Жыл бұрын
That will be more dependent on how well your irrigation system is set up and if you have correct sprinkler placement . As the EZ flo Is designed to constantly feed small amounts the concerns about even applications are not such a big deal

I went 1 litre of each and 200ml of the stimulizer , all the products I'm currently running are more amendment style products and not actual fertilisers. But you could obviously use just one or two products in. On the slow setting its just a spoon feed per irrigation cycle.

Wow that green has come along and nice colour. Is there a setting on that eziflo to run straight water after an application? Just curious as after many years of using aqueduct wetter, which would not burn if not watered in straight away, we've had to switch to one that apparently needs watering in immediately or it can burn/yellow. Devastated the aqueduct is no longer here in Australia.

The slow setting puts 3.2L of product into 3200L of water which is 32mm of irrigation over 100sqm. There are some variables here of course but generally, if you're using the EZ flow at every irrigation with an undiluted Plant Doctor mixture as shown that would be quite a lot of product applied. Is that correct? Maybe my maths is wrong.

Hey Brenton - love your channel, have been watching from the early days. Your content, photography, passion and dead set awesome lawns make watching your segments time well spent - for a lawn nerd like me hungry for more information and inspiration. A bit of feedback for you to help move your subs up to 20K- see if you can rein in the ‘ums and ‘aaahhs when you are speaking. You are obviously a professional and know your stuff - but your language fillers tend to make you come across as nervous and unsure. Some other words to watch for are overusing “AND” and “SO” and one in particular that you use a lot is “NOW”. A couple of ways to help - put a rubber band over your wrist, and every time you hear yourself say um, snap the rubber band. This will help bring the habit back into your conscious mind - and you will become aware of yourself doing it. Another trick is to have competitions with your family over the dinner table - everyone in turn has to speak for 1 minute on an impromptu topic, and cannot say um. Most ums has to wash up the dishes. For your viewers you will come across as more assured and professional. Keep up the awesome work, I look forward to the continued success of your channel. Cheers.
