haha...! I did the same thing. i look out and 3/4 of the winter garden is alliums. but HOSS tools sent me so many more shallots than i thought. and came out with new onion seeds. Dont forget the elephant garlic!! Its looking great with the weather

Travis -- Great video . . . I'm feeling a lot better about setting mine up this spring! Thanks for doing this! I remember a while back in one of your row-by-row shows you talked about how long you had to run drip tape to get an inch of water. I can't seem to locate that specific video now. Very little rain this yr. None at all during May. Bore has gone saline so im getting a water conditioner to help out. My first year growing veg.

Now hold on hoss! You forgot your back flow preventer... and use some brass quick connectors on your 4 way! That's what I did and love it! Click .. click boom fertilizer! I absolutely love that thing and the microboost!

Yeah my pear tree is putting out blooms and the buds are swelling on the peach tree. I can't remember it being this warm in January and I'm no spring chicken. I can however remember ice spewing from the ground in January. We can look for a bad insect problem this summer.

Those fruit trees blooming early can be bad news if we get a late frost. Happened a few years ago and really hurt the fruit growers. And yes, the insect pressure will be exceptionally high this year. Planting early as possible will be a must.

Yes, we use it with our tripod sprinkler from time to time. We'll run some fish emulsion through it to add some nutrients preplant.

I used to use a hose end sprayer or garden sprayer to apply fertilizer - Oh, my aching back! I LOVE my EZ Flo! It's made this old lady's life SO much easier! Whenever I water or fertilize, I have my tea break and relax - Big difference!

should put a check-valve on the 4 way outlet then connect the Ez flow bib to it. this way you protect your well water from being contaminated by the fertilizer

Mornin Travis I have a quick question: In each of my plots I use drip tape and I have set up automatic Anti Siphon valves with Pressure Regulators in your opinion is it OK to install the injection set up before the vales or after the regulator on the down stream side? My preference is before the valves ....

It's always easier to install above the valves and regulators as long as your pressure is under 50 psi.

Seems to me that you get at least a third more production if you use drip tape and fertigation because you can plant closer together.Is that right? Drip tape also reduces certain plant diseases from overhead spraying.

Less diseases and drastically less weed pressure. The ability to plant closer is another marked advantage.

This is for in ground drip system. For your hanging baskets, you would need to use our Brass Siphon Mixer is a time-tested device for accurately proportioning fertilizer, pesticide and fungicide into your plant watering system. Works great in greenhouses and grow rooms. MADE IN THE USA! The Siphon Mixer dispenses fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and other water soluble chemicals through a hose to the growing area. This is not a cheap, plastic siphon mixer that you may find in the big box stores. Note: Not compatible with hose over 50 feet. This is the only Siphon Mixer that's made with brass and that's MADE IN THE USA! Simply attach the brass end to your water faucet or hose and place the rubber siphoning hose into a bucket of fertilizer, insecticide or fungicide. Mr Key Requesting a little math help for fertilizing containers of tomato, cucurbits etc with triple 20. If we hand water them, how many grams of triple 20 should go into a 5 gallon bucket so I can take one cup of the solution to apply to each plant every 2 weeks. Thank you

We now only offer the 1 gallon tank. We made some improvements compared to the tank shown in this video: 1) The coupler is now made of brass. 2) The tank is now made of PVC and will not rupture when left under pressure.

I was thinking of using an inline fertilizer for my drip irrigation. How do I know how much to add of fish emulsion? On normal applications I use 2 tablespoons per 1 gallon of water and then pour. Through a system I have no idea. My emitters are all rated about .5 gal per hour.

It's hard to overdo it with fish emulsion. I usually use a quart per 1,000 square feet when I inject it.

Yes, but that doesn't really matter. Whatever weight or liquid measure of fertilizer you put in the tank is what's delivered to the plants.

Yes, I use it on my tripod sprinkler and it works great. I frequently use it with fish emulsion on my cover crops to help feed the soil.

It would work, but you're not supposed to leave the tank under constant pressure. So that could be an issue. We use the siphon mixer in the greenhouse and our 20-20-20 never settles once dissolved the first time.

The old design had a tank made of HDPE plastic, and was subject to rupture if left under constant pressure. Our new design (hosstools.com/product/hoss-fertilizer-injector/) has a PVC tank that can be left under constant pressure and brass fittings instead of plastic with the old one. For simplicity reasons, we decided it was best to just have one tank size going forward.
