I never understood how the clutch and pressure plate worked! Thank you for taking the time and giving the detailed example on it. i Extremely appreciate it

legend mate. loved the little clutch example you did with the press - really separates this channel from others and gives it that extra informative edge

Nice work 😊. did you change the brass bearing on the crank tip that goes into the gearbox ? mine was very bad when I did my rebuild now. I used a nismo pin bearing to replace the oem solid brass one.
@BackyardMechanic7 жыл бұрын
Michael My bearing was pretty good. I tried to convince dad to put the new one in but he said waste of time. Oh cool I'll have a look at that type when I do my clutch upgrade

Great vid man! Hey, probably answered this before, but what camera do you use?
@BackyardMechanic7 жыл бұрын
I haven't actually told anyone in my videos haha. It's a Canon 70D with the kit lens. I have just purchased a new Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4. Lets in double the light. Has a clearer picture. You won't see the difference until I post the start up video cos that's when i bought my camera!

Cool man! Thanks for the info! Haha it must be filthy ;) That's a great lens upgrade. I just got an Autech 260RS, and your vids have helped with understanding the RB26. I've been inspired by your videos and some others to try to do some of my own. I hope to get some up this year!

y didnt u put clutch on engine be for u put engine in lol or even put gear box and engine as 1is so much easya
@BackyardMechanic7 жыл бұрын
Justin Andrew It isn't easier putting them in as 1 in my situation. Lots of sharp angles. Makes the job harder to do. It's easy just picking up a square block and dropping it vertically down instead of adding a box to the mix.
