I have a quick question, my husband and I are currently doing a build similar to yours and we cannot get the green piece on the shaft…. Our has a gap as well. How did y’all get the key to be adjusted? Shave it? The video didn’t say that part to my knowledge.

Hey man what kind of adapter is that on the transom to rise it like that?

It’s actually just 2 metal brackets with a block of wood in between them. The previous owner had it like that. I Kinda like it with the mud motor sitting on it. Gonna find out if it works good or not once I can get it in the water. If it doesn’t work I’ll just take it off
