First off, this needs to become a regular upload man. Call it Breakfast with Ben. Just got home after running out in the crappy rain from Chik fil a. Breakfast with Ben for the #win. Looks good. Not that it will fit my Jeep but curious about the shackle mounts, do they fully intersect the tube or are the notched to fit tube? And they look to be fully welded but can't see the backside. Also love that you show your mistakes. Watching you cut the grill I screamed NOOOO!!! At the tv knowing that the cut was going to be funky. Lol. Be there before. Great vid as always. Jeep is amazing looking. My fav JK.

I think I will start doing Saturday morning uploads!! And yeah the shackle mounts are actually the part of the plate that runs all the way to the frame, it is the main structure of the bumper. And yeah let’s just say I had a couple beers before that cut and didn’t really think about it too much 🤦🏻‍♂️

The best thing about this bumper is that you won’t see 100 of them that look exactly the same. Being unique with a new design is what more companies need to start doing. However, I am confused on the brand, is it by Barnes or the seven slot customs, I know you said it’s the jeep specific line. But who actually makes the products?

No updates because it’s still doing just as good as day one, there’s no reason not to switch to it. As for the black marks I’ll have to go back and watch the video to see, I know their are two black stickers on it, maybe that’s what your referring to

kswyg my friend has had his installed for 2 months now, multiple offroad trips. I’ve seen this in action, he hits rocks with it and it’s cool to watch because it will bend and then go back perfectly straight after.

Hey Ben, I have that motobilt bumper you replaced. Do you think you couldve cut the top plate and dropped the winch down into it? Obviously reinforce whatever needs to be.

Not sure if I missed it but how much clearance is there between the sway bar motor and the winch plate with it rotated back to the factory position? Also how far does it hang down below the bumper? Currently mine is rotated just trying to decide between the two choices of this bumper. I just order the 7 slot rear bumper which should be delivered this week and thinking I need to match them up. Awesome videos.

I will have to double check, but it actually sits right up on the sway bar hanger (rubber piece), so I think the bumper has about an inch of clearance for the motor

Man, thanks a ton for doing this install video, I just got lucky and got this bumper for 100 bucks brand new. But I was not aware I had to cut the frame. Id rather have it sit further away than where you had it, if you had to. Cut the frame yourself to fit the big winch without cutting the grille, how much would you have cut off the frame? Do you think the 12k wicnh from harbor freights will fit with this bumper? That's my project for mine. Thanks man for the detailed video. Great watch!

Ben question for ya I’m running 5 inches of lift on my jku you think I could squeeze in some 40’s I’m already geared to 513 and have the axle upgrades complete. Wheels are 20x10 so I believe they are plenty wide. I’m not running flat fenders and don’t care to just not my style.

You should be able to, your only issues will be the fenders and the wheel backspacing (but spacers will help if you have issues)

DON'T BUY THIS bumper, if you have rubicon model because your sway bar disconnect motor will be totally exposed after you chop of the crash bar and there is no skid plate available for this bumper for your sway bar disconnect motor. I have hit the sway bar motor many times on the rocks And also this bumper doesn't fit if you want to rotate the sway bar motor up high.
